What's to nerf? It has sub-par damage, ROF is garbage, weights more than a Krogan in armor with a Claymore and unwashed ears.
I was on board until you had to say something about Krogan ears. Too far. Waaaayyy to far.

Except if I don't want a sniper rifle. The Crusader is a gun that is good at all ranges. That's the whole point of the gun.Air Quotes wrote...

If the Wraith covered all the range you really need, nobody would use sniper rifles. If all you play is Glacier or you don't like shooting at long range, then that's personal preference. Don't discount the Crusader's advantage in taking out enemies at sniper range though. And I guess "burst damage" is how you define it. If you mean "single shot damage," then obviously the Wraith is better. If you mean "single clip damage" (which I did), the Crusader is significantly better.Air Quotes wrote...
In practice Wraith covers all the range you really need. And it's MUCH more effective at CQC. It can OHK mooks with body shots. It's 3 times lighter! And it has better burst damage. by 400.
"Actually shoots where it's pointing when you pull the trigger"
" Take away that last listed Wraith advantage, and the Crusader becomes a superior gun for weapon classes"
LOL. That is all.
Also, the Wraith is a better mook killer, and it always will be because of shield gate. The Crusader will always do better damage to armor.
Look, I love the Wraith, and I have used it a ton even before the damage buff. Even if the Crusader were fixed, I'd probably still use the Wraith more often, except maybe on Infiltrators or Krogan. I'm certainly not saying the Crusader is "better in every way", because it isn't. It's better at some things, armor damage being the most important of them. I AM saying that the Wraith isn't "better in every way." It's better in some ways, and it comes down to personal preference.
If you want a sniper - Black Widow is MILES better than Crusader. And Crusaders single clip DPS is only 100 higher. That's 4 shots vs 2. And those 4 shots are a lot harder to make and can leave you exposed for longer

This is exactly the point. You said it better than I did.andresft wrote...
In any scenario where the Crusader is better than the Wraith, the Black Widow is better than the Crusader. I would tend to agree, except the Crusader gives you a level of flexibility that neither of the other two weapons (which I love deeply) gives you. If the Crusader were a better short-range shotgun AND a better sniper rifle than the Wraith and the BW, then there would be absolutely no point in using the Wraith and the BW whatsoever.
Doesn't the Saber fill that roleMiniditka77 wrote...

Also, the DPS difference you listed is base. Add 25% for weapon mod, 12% for Shock Trooper, 27.5% for passive, and 80% for TC bonus, and the DPS difference is almost 300. Add even more for a L3 Shotgun amp. You're also forgetting the upside of 4 shots vs. 2. The Wraith punishes missed shots much more harshly than the Crusader.
Again, not saying the Crusader is the all-around superior weapon. The Wraith is probably all-around superior. The Crusader does some things better though. It's really kind of strange that you can't admit that. Why are you wasting time asking for a fix to the Crusader if you apparently think it has no purpose?

Hitscan just means that the program doesn't calculate a projectile and time of flight. If the cross hair is on a target when the weapon fires, it is considered a hit.Nissun wrote...
Wait - hitscan weapons are the ones that hit right as the projectile is fired, correct? Meaning that there is no "projectile" that travels, right?
Then why is the Crusader NOT one of those in the first place?

Somehow I don't see many threads of - "Wow I'm so happy I got a Crusader, this thing is so beast and better than Hurricane" And don't tell me all of those players who hate it need to lrn2play.

I was talking about the Crusader being a good weapon if it was fixed. The Crusader is not a good weapon at any range right now unless you're firing at a gigantic boss enemy, except for those few people who have learned to use it. Banshees are sometimes even too skinny to hit reliably at long ranges with it.Air Quotes wrote...
Are you kidding me? Crusader is absolute garbage at CQC vs Humandoid enemies. Wraith will one shot them and you will hit were you point. Crusader will miss that moving Dragoon because 0.2 seconds in CQC is an eternity.
I want to like Crusader and it would have a purpose if it hit where you aim. It's a HITSCAN weapon. If I want to lead my targets I will take a Graal or Kishock.
The Saber is probably the most similar weapon to the Crusader. It serves a similar purpose, but with a few differences, like lower weight and lower power (and no 50% Omni Blade attachment).UEG Donkey wrote...

'L2P' isn't a valid answer.
I love the Crusader, I can headshot an enemy from across Hydra with no problem when the weapon decide to hit. I've witness it missing a f*cking Brute that was right in front of me, because I was aiming somewhere else before I shot him.

This thread confuses me. The rate of fire is good, the sustained DPS is better than a Claymore or a Wraith, and the firing delay isn't that different than the firing delay on the Javelin. But the Javelin is considered one of the best weapons while the Crusader is considered worthless.
I don't understand.
