Yeah. Cos shooting a Dragunov in real life is the same as shooting a Widow in a game. You can quickscope and everything :P

You own a Dragunov... nice bro.

I don't have anything fancy, just simple meat producers. I use a 40 year old .270 that was my fathers for deer hunting, and I have another hand-me-down 12 gauge for birds/home defense (nothing says GTFO of my house like the racking of a shotgun).

I do have a 16 gauge WWI Trench Gun that's been passed down through the family though...

The crusader's elastic barrel is annoying, I'll give you that. But one can adapt to it. That is difficult though.

But as I said, I fear a nerf as well as many others when this gets fixed. It will render some sniper rifles pretty obsolete, as well as the Saber.

Anyway. The payoff for all that leading crap with the Crusader is not that high either. When you hit with a Graal or Kishock - it's a guaranteed stagger and a lot of times OHK. Plus bleed damage. Crusader has none of that. You can get satisfying headshots with a Saber if you want a scopeless rifle with punch. And it's consistent. You point - it hits. If you get into a "OH ****" CQC situation - you point - it hits.

I cannot take you seriously anymore, because you demand for buffs/nerfs way too often.

And sincerely in my opinion, Air Quotes, the Crusader is one of the very few shotguns that does that as well. You hit what you point at, rather than an ovoid/circle all around where you pointed at except where you pointed at.

Which is why I really like the Crusader myself

So is it hit scan or isn't it?

I was under the impression that there is no travel time for the slug; there's just a delay between when you press the trigger and the weapon actually firing.

It's hit scan. It hits immediately(or close enough to it that it makes no difference) when you pull the trigger, which is why people are incorrect in calling it a fire delay.

It just hits where your crosshair was 0.2 seconds ago. It hits instantly, but not neccessarily where you are aiming.

This means that it's very punishing for people who rapidly switch from target to target(which I often do with a weapon like the Crusader that is capable of 1 shotting trash mobs and has a multi-round clip) or for trying to hit a smaller unit that is moving quickly at medium to long range, such as the Phantom.

I'm pretty sure there's a delay between when you pull the trigger and when the weapon actually fires. Kind of like a Javelin.

I'm good with a Shuriken. Doesn't mean that the Hurricane will not do it better.

Truth be told there is a very slight delay that all hitscan weapons have. It's so small that it makes no real difference and we just say it's instant, as it's not something you will notice without slowing down video footage.

Either way, the gun is not like the Javelin in that you can have your crosshair over a target's head when the Crusader fires and it will not hit the target.

Likewise, you can also have your crosshair over nothing and hit a target.

The Javelin can't do this.

With the Javelin you can re-adjust.

I have a better idea. Remove the Crusader. REMOVE IT! Period. <_<

It just doesn't do anything that another shotgun won't do better. Want to snipe? Take the Graal. Monstrous damage? Claymore, Raider. And it is so freaking heavy. Not to mention its crappy hit detection. While I am not the best shot, I expect when I am hitting stuff at point-blank range with my shotgun to actually HIT things. *mumbles curses at the Crusader*

The point still stands, though.

"It's easy, you just need to use it like a real life gun" is never a good argument, unless you're playing a military simulator =P

The only people I know personally who have never fired a gun are a few ditzy girls and my neighbors who are pacifists (Vietnamese refugees).

I don't leave the SE USA much Image IPB

Lead your moving targets... just like a real gun.

It's not that hard guys. Does anyone here even shoot... in real life?

So... 0.2 secs ain't that bad right? Hold up. Add another 0.4secs to that number to get a more accurate reading of the delay. Why? Because the host lags a little when sending data to the EA server and the other 3 players lag when sending data to the host who sends that data to the EA server.

0.6 secs delay is a more accurate reading when u factor that variable in too.

This is a bit different because it isn't real lead.

If I want to lead an object that is moving from right to left from my perspective I could potentially still hit the target if I bring the barrel straight up from rest to the POA needed to hit the moving target and fire.

If you did that with the Crusader, you would be low, unless you either held the point of aim, or where moving the weapon in the same direction as the target, which would sort of emulate real life.

I'll hold point of aim, then start strafing laterally before I pull the trigger. This is only on long shots vs moving targets. Obviously not what I would do in real life...

Sure.  I just mean the Crusader is really ass backwards from a real weapon.  For a real gun (sighted in correctly), if POA is correct when the bullet leaves the barrel, you will get a hit.  Crusader has to have the right POA when you first pull the trigger, and then anything after that doesn't matter. The doesn't matter is what is getting people, because I am sure subconciously they think they need to be on when the shot goes off, not when they pull the trigger, like with the Javelin.

It is pretty whonky really.
