Loghain closes his eyes and pretends he's having sex with his dead wife.Gilsa wrote...
That's interesting because if you tell Alistair why he has to sleep with Morrigan and he confronts her about it, her response is, "Interesting. Honesty wouldn't have been my first choice." Interesting contrast to her bluntness with the male pc. How does that play out if you talk Loghain into it? Same dialogue responses from Morrigan?
You sure? Because At a certain point in the romance (once you reach "love") morrigan *won't* sleep with you.Sarethus wrote...
My character was in love with Morrigan and wouldn't let her break it off despite her telling me I would regret it. So when my PC went back to my room after learning of the grey warden's 'duty', I was first surprised that she at what she told me and then surprised when I wondered why she told me.
To put it bluntly my character was planning on sleeping with her anyway, baby or no baby,

Distinct difference between Old God baby and just a regular baby, as has been pointed out previously, Dark Rituals aren't the only way to conceive children in Thedas.Arrtis wrote...
*spoiler*well as long as you sleep with her regardless of doing the rit or not shes gonna have your kid.*or they assume its your kid*

The ritual involved more than just sex. It would have been nice to see that in the cutscene, but the idea is that sex is the culmination of the ritual and not the entire thing. I'm pretty sure a savvy PC would have figured out that something was up.Sarethus wrote...
So just asking for your opinion here, why do you think she told you (If you were male and in love etc)?

So think of this as a major, Major "one for the road"

May I ask what the other part of the ritual was?
Well, originally there was supposed to be runes and candles marked around the place where the "act" took place, as well as some ritualized casting -- but that made the scene a mite too long. I guess it's sort of like Schrodinger's Ritual now... if you didn't see it, did it really happen?Fiserfully wrote...

Well now I'm never going to be able to look at "Blood Control" in the same way again. Thanks.Giltspur wrote...

Yet another reason to become a blood mage.

Wrong. Once you reach "love", she won't sleep with you. Period. till the ritual, of course.Sarethus wrote...

Depends on what dialogue options you choose actually. First there is the whole gotten too intimate arguement you have with her and she warns you that you will regret it if you continue the relationship. Then whenever you want to choose sleep with Morrigan select the 'Get in bed, woman' option. She will always let you sleep with her if you choose this. Do not choose the option about her desire/whim.

See, some of us imagine that's just SOP for Morrigan. So we'd just be - "Oh, the usual then!" and be none the wiser.
