Title says it all. Instakilled by phantom as I was dropped into extraction zone during wave 11.
Not even time to turn on my krogan sentinel armor.

But plenty of time to lose my ammo/armor/weapon equipment.

Just quit immediately or alt-F4. You don't lose equipment like that.

That happened to me too today. A gold match on Rio against Cerberus. I dropped into the game to see three dead team mate symbols, and a whole host of enemies camped on the drop in point right next to me, just waiting to cut my poor Turian Sentinel down. One of the two phantoms camped right next to me happily obliged with an instakill. Shortest game ever.

I've never had it happen on wave 11, but I've been dropped into the extraction area on several maps and instakilled before I could even take a step or shoot a single round/power off. London seems to be where it happens most for me. Sucks on wave 11, but I think I'd be laughing more than raging.

never equip consumables. Set up your character, weapon and mods, and gear. Look for match. If you get lobby, put on consumables. If you enter a match, check the map/faction/difficulty and decide if you want to stay. If you dont, just quit straight away, you're under no obligation to stay.

The problem is, why the hell should the server drop someone into a game on WAVE 11? It's totally ridiculous.

I've seen that happen to someone before, I feel bad for him. My record for the latest wave drop is a wave 10 with completed objectives.

I have only lost my consumables once. Since then I don't equip them until I get into a lobby. If that means I am going to be weaker if I drop into a game that is going, so be it.

And why complain about being dropped in at wave 11? Talk about quick money.

I wish there was an option in matchmaking to select "lobby only."

While you did not make it, did that match have a successful extraction? If anything, you got free exp out of it and if you got extraction, a few creds.
