I am wondering if anyone has moved their saves and DLC from a PC to a Mac and successfully picked up where they left off? I am currently running DA: O in XP via Boot Camp, and my saves are here:

Documents and Settings>Help Desk>My Documents>BioWare>Dragon Age>Characters>CHARACTER NAME

while my DLCs are here:

Documents and Settings>Help Desk>My Documents>BioWare>Dragon Age>AddIns

If I were to buy DA: O for the Mac, will I find essentially the same file structure and be able to copy the relevant files over, thereby switching platforms and yet seamlessly continuing to play? Are there any pitfalls I should be aware of, or am I better off continuing to boot into XP, solely to play this game?

Any help & advice would be greatly appreciated.

I was able to copy my files from a PC desktop to my MBP in bootcamp and that worked fine. I just copied over the whole Dragon Age folder found in Documents. I did have to login to authorize the DLC. Then I lost my disk while on vacation and bought the OSX version. I copied over the Dragon Age folder after just starting up Dragon Age to see where the folder belonged. I didn't buy the deluxe OSX version, but since I had Warden's Keep on the PC when I logged in all of my DLC was authorized. The only thing that didn't transfer was Specialization unlocks. I don't think they transferred to the MBP in the first place though.

On the other hand I would continue to play using bootcamp. It works noticeably better. I would only use the OSX version if I didn't have windows.

Actually, I just posted a similar problem. I moved my saves over to an HP media server and now my DLC isn't recognized. :(

Thanks for the information. I'm glad to hear that the files can be transferred over, but bummed to hear that the game's performance is noticeably poorer in OS X. I guess that is what we get when BioWare gives us the game with a Cider wrapper and not a true port. It makes me miss Neverwinter. Anyway, thanks again.

I ran into problems since nearly every PC digital version has some mess of 'special items' that weren't available on the Mac release ... so when I tried to load a save I get crap from the game.
