I tried most things people suggested without success, mostly Cobra missiles. Kept gettng 3 or 4 enemies not 5.

Silver PUGs, various maps including Glacier - No!
Bronze & Silver solo, Giant & Glacier - No!
Gold PUG, (more enemies to hit) - No!

Eventually gave up & resigned myself to not completing the challenge. Went back to what I had been doing before the weekend. Ended up with a Silver PUG in Glacier. Completely by chance got the drop on a spawn point in the lower room from the top of the corridor steps. Cobra = Killstreak. Same thing happened a few waves later. Someone else got the third at another spawn point.

Only got the challenge by luck when I stopped trying. Make of that what you will.

Solo Bronze with Asari Vanguard, Glacier, I think against Reapers.

Kroguard solo Glacier Gold.  Rocket the first spawn, played through Wave 1, rocket the first spawn of Wave 2, rocket the first spawn of Wave 3, completed the objective, then tried to hug a Banshee and she wasn't reciprocating.  It actually kind of ticked me off - they sync-kill me in 0.001 seconds when I'm trying to run away, but when I charged her while she was warping and kept headbutting her, she wouldn't do anything.  I actually almost meleed her to death.  Ended up getting sync-killed by a Brute (first time in a long time for that one) who apparently didn't like me hitting on his girl.

Solo silver, fb glacier, TGI, used stim packs until 5 mooks surrounded me, missle at feet, finished by wave 2, died on purpose, took just over 4 minutes.

These challenges are too easy.

 Kinda challenging to keep up with the weekend operations since they nowdays seem to be every weekend, but with nice luck imanaged it  joined some random glacier bronze game and killed 2 guys to finish round 2 and when round 3 started a killstreak 3 medal popped up so that was pretty much all i had to do. Playing with laptop & wireless in the army where almost everyone using the wireless at this time led to few nice DCing hours and other laggy miracles...

And got Crusader X... at least I'll never see it again now.

Silver pug before coming to work, tried one game, lucked out. Guy on mic was confused why I was wasting a missile on 5 assault troopers in the second wave.

Totally carried by a mate. We played Glacier/Geth/Gold for easy spawn-nuking, and I was all like, "Since you've already got the challenge, no point in your wasting your missiles." So with my 5 missiles, I ended up only getting one killstreak. He was then kind enough to provide the other two. >.<

it took 20 tries after I started using my Volus with max recon mine. I kept getting 3 and 4 mobs near mine but took to wave 5 before it worked out.

pug (3 tries), bronze, collector, firebase jade,  lvl18 demolisher engineer with grenade capacity 5, no missile.

Had to work for the streaks, but finally got the Valiant II

The stim packs kept me alive long enough to bounce around in the dead end room until 5 reapers came in.

Got Eagle IV.

I don't mind as I already maxed out Hurricane, and I like using the Eagle.

I took the advice of posts in 2 previous threads about the same issue.
Krogan Sentinel on Glacier, Geth, Bronze. I took Geth since I figured they move and spread out more slowly than cerberus (however reapers are far slower). I waited on the top before the stairs where we normally set up for a force spawn right at the bottom of said stairs. First wave- a paltry 3 troopers! But by wave 3 ( terminal hack) I used 1 missile and got 2 streaks. I think that was the best place to get it since all the enemies will try to move towards you in groups. The 3 rf kill strek I got was during extraction. Had 30 seconds or less, got frustrated and just walked into a group of enemies with the launcher spamming ops pack- streak 3 done! Oh btw, had to solo it because pugs were not getting me anywhere.
