So I've been playing Kingdom Hearts II recently and I've been discovering a few neat things about the game. Things I used to skip over while just playing or because I felt they had no purpose have become a great way to increase the playing time of my most recent playthrough to 72 hours. Discovering things like crafting better items or multiplying the experience I gain with certain weapons and abilities has made playing through Kingdom Hearts II a fresher experience. So I ask BSN: What old (or not so old) games have you played through again to discover some cool things that escaped your notice the first (or third) time around?

The Infinity Engine games. When I first played through them, I tended to play melee characters as my main and when controlling the spell chuckers, I tended to use the same spells. When replaying them, I started trying out different classes and spells as well as checking out different convo options and alternate ways of solving quests. Made a huge difference.

Can never go wrong with trying out new classes. You used "Infinity Engine" so I'm assuming you've played most, if not all, the games that used that. I always wanted to play Planescape Torment.

Yep.
And play Torment. I had never played it until the end of last year (I completed it in November, I think). It's excellent and a must-play, IMO. I only wish I'd been able to play it sooner.

Well for Disgaea i discovered that i could farm low level weapons that have the specialist classes Armsmaster and Statician, who increase the character's weapon proficiency and experience gain respectively.
After buying hundreds of items that contain the two, i would enter the weapon's item world to capture them, and i would combine the matching specialists afterwards to increase their effect. After nearly 50 hours i was able to combine enough Staticians to the point that i leveled around 400+ levels after a level 1000+ kill, and combined enough Armsmasters into one sword that my Ninja could one shot level 9,999 characters.
Afterwards i would switch the specialists over to my other character's weapons, and quick level them(usually around 30 minutes) until they were in their two thousands before i would reincarnate them, then repeat the process. When you reincarnate a character from a higher level they'll restart at level one with weaker skills, but their stat gain could drastically increase to the point that a reincarnated level 1 character could be comparable to a vanilla level 100 or higher character.
With all the above i could now massacre prinny Baal with 5 man team of level 1000 characters.

^ Sounds so OP. I'll have to add KOTOR II to my list as well. I finally heard some additional dialogue from HK-47 during my dark side playthrough from about a month ago. I rarely took him (or any non-Jedi) with me while questing so I could never build up the necessary influence to talk to him more.

KOTOR, Jade Empire and KOTOR II come to mind, the dialogue I missed and amount of content baffles me. I played those games when I was young though. It's funny, I looked at my old JE save and it was like 12 hours and I played it recently and hit about 20 something. Plus, when you're older, you've experienced more, mentally and can find little aspects you wouldn't of caught beforehand, IMO.
Off topic, but this happened to me with Avatar: The Last Airbender. I've seen the series twice, first time when I was a few years ago and then recently again and oh man, how much I appreciate seeing it a second time.

KHII Sephiroth easily. I wanted to punch all the things in frustration of trying to beat him. He was pretty easy in the first game since he doesn't have a "take all your HP but one like a punk" attack in the first game. The Hierophant wrote...

Found the memory cards. I remember that instant attack now, and the mofo's meteor spam in KH2 is crazy. I also have a separate save file for the fight because when he's defeated KH2 he's gone for good this time around sadly.J. Reezy wrote...

Now that I think about it the Sephiroth fight in Kingdom Hearts II applies for me. I actually missed that my first (and probably second) time through. I rarely back tracked. I didn't know you could fight him until like 2008. Found out searching the Web during school one day.

My friend told me about Sephiroth as i was fighting the 1000 heartless at Hollow Bastion, and being only at lvl 44 at the time i wish i ignored him too. Fueled by butthurt i power leveled 32 levels just so i could kill the sob.
