I wouldn't oppose it, but it's clear Bioware views Tali as heterosexual.

I would have preferred for Ashley to be the s/s option. I romanced Tali as mShep, but I could see Tali be into females as well.

I'm pretty sure it was on the table at one point. But they chickened out.

I always thought it was a little strange that they went that route for Kaidan but not Ashley.

Huh. There was this one time where my female Shepard, Joanna, was talking with Tali in ME2 about Tali's sickness after taking fire on the Rayya. The conversation went into how it's really an allergic reaction, about what life in sealed suit is like, then talks about how it is the ultimate show of trust and love in another to link suits.

Then Tali says that she hasn't trusted anyone with that, but almost slips that she did trust Joanna enough. Joanna asked if Tali was blushing, and Tali stammers in embarrassment as she goes back to work. It didn't go further than that, in fact I don't think Tali would say anything else to Shepard after that point. I thought it was just a flag issue or something. ME2 seems to have a few of those kinds of bugs.

That's not her character. And I don't think they should sacrifice who the character is just for the sake of...whatever that would accomplish.Image IPB

I was incredibly disappointed to see that done to Kaiden (and I think Ashley too?) What does changing their orientation halfway through the series do except make the company seem like they're pandering, and make the character seem inconsistent (or else really, really desperate).Image IPB

The line that Tali uses to give you the hint that its possible to start the romance is the same for both male shep and femshep.  Its her line about linking suits.  The only difference is how Shepard interprets what Tali says.  But yeah she says the same thing to both genders.  Bioware chose to keep Tali as a heterosexual LI which is fine but I would not have found it any harder to believe that she was interested in femshep had that option been available.

I'm afraid that only Mark Meer has actually said "Report to the ship ASAP, we'll bang okay?" Maybe if Jennifer Hale had said that line, but she didn't.

I was gunning for Tali in ME2 (as Femshep) and was a little heartbroken near the end of ME3...

Because BSN. Did you miss the recent "why isn't Ashley bisexual" topic?

I didn't learn who's going to win the Super Bowl. Thus it was useless.

Not everyone is into the same sex, that's just part of life. I'm fine with Tali just being into Male Shep, I don't think it would make her a weaker character if she was into both, but that's not the direction the developers wanted for Tali. Sorry to say, but this is most likely a case of "Just let it go, its not happening." with a slim chance of "Maybe in the future if things really do take an interesting turn"

If I had to choose I'd rather have Tali then Ashley. But as one of the ones upset over the Kaidan thing, I'm glad everyone else stayed the same and this didn't turn into DA2.
