Did anyone else enjoy seeing Liara getting put in her place by Javik?

I love Liara but always thought that she always had at least a passive arrogance about Asari supremacy to the other galactic races and especially humans.  For Javik to give her the rude awakening that most of their technological leap over the rest of the galaxy was due to the Protheans leaving them so much of their own technology was actually kind of refreshing.  Not to mention Traynor pretty much schooling her in how to collect intel and manage information.....without an extensive spy network.

I can't think of a single time Liara spoke about any kind of 'asari supremacy,' passively or no.

Come on, everyone knew that was going to happen. Once we found a real Prothean, we knew they weren't going to be all benevolent and kind, right? We were going to find the Romulans.

Regardless of her being put in her place, I smiled when Javik talked about writing a book with his newly reconciled friend Liara.

the idea that the protheans tinkered with and probably actually designed them as a race kind of freaked Liara out on Thessia. No wonder the Asari gov hid those relecs...

Can't say I would have enjoyed the discovery either if I would have found myself in her shoes.

If this was a real life situation, I would support Liara. The knowledge of the Protheans' interference with their race would be emotionally traumatic for any Asari.

Javik admits being a military sect of the Protheans. There were different strokes for different Protheans. The ideal of their society was supremism tho. You either joined them or was totally ignored as a society(no support or advanced tech, knowledge, etc) or they just took over your stuff if you challenged them.

Rommies just took over your stuff as a challenge..something to do,etc..lol

From my point of view I think Javik just doesn't bother to coddle or sympathize with anyone- hence he basically tells Liara to shut it or jabs at her in the temple when she's flying off topic. He's got crap to do and he's suffered way more than anyone else yet he doesn't rant and cry about it, hence he expects people to remain cool and professional. Liara does not, hence the tongue-lashing.

Liara's reaction to her homeworld being destroyed was completely cool and professional. She's ready to go on the very next mission.

I love Javik for that reason alone. I'm actually shocked BioWare didn't have him all up in Liara's vaginad*ck like every other character in the game.

I'm curious. If Liara crying because her homeworld was overrun is an 'overreaction,' what exactly do the behavior and comments on the BSN qualify as?

While I didn't hate Liara, I didn't like that she was basically forced to be friends with me by the game. Why can't I be mean to her?

So, it is refreshing to see a character vent some of my dislike since the one I directly operate is unable to.
