Did anyone else enjoy seeing Liara getting put in her place by Javik?

Kai leng didn't ****** me off because it was so transparent what he was there for - rekindled player animosity for cerberus after the undoubtable softening effect of working for them in ME2.

Other than that i pretty much agree with what Steelcan is saying about Liara.

Do we know of her past combat experience before Therum?

She can master singularity which as far as the lore goes only the most powerful biotics can accomplish. So it's save to assume Benezia spent considerable time training Liara.

On Therum, Liara is unarmed, she has no armor...and she's been in her bubble for god knows how long (biotics require a lot more food than normal people...so her biotics are at most unstable). She's obviously not in shape for fighting a krogan battlemaster and an army of geth.

All Asari are taught biotic skills as basic education.

It was a defensive barrier from the prothean tech present in the facility, not Liaras biotics. Thats why she was trapped.

We see the Geth Ship arrive as we head for the facility in the mako, so she wasn't in the barrier for very long either because she states she activated the prothean tech to protect herself from the newly arriving Krogan mercs and Geth.

I know. But I doubt she had something to eat in her bubble (Kaidan even mentions it after the mission, during the debriefing...so it was certainly more than a few hours.). Overtired and hungry Liara = no biotics.

According to one of the novels, it's almost impossible to form a singularity unless the user is enormously powerful. She had obviously a bit more than some basic education.
