Don't plan to; it was a cherry that needed popping.  Now that I'm no longer a Platinum virgin, I'm okay with trying something just a little more daring.  We're bringing in the leather boots and handcuffs next time.

I think I'll do that after I solo Gold.  My record is still Wave 8.  ALMOST two-manned it today, but then Cerberus thought it would be a good idea to infinitely spawn Phantoms during a hack.

Like, I'm pretty sure that wave was nothing but Phantoms.

They will cartwheel tonight through my nightmares, taunting me with their robotic cackle.

Not a lot of people talk on (PC) PUG matches.  You've probably played with more girls than you think.  Just, you know, quiet ones.

That said, of the dozen-ish people I play with fairly reguarly, only two (not counting myself) are girls.  One of them just started playing around Christmas, so it's probably her turn in the "you're really not playing platinum so stop being so goddamn proud of yourself" box next.

Ok, so I sorta get your point.

Still, I think you would be truly "learning" a lot more running around on Gold pushing yourself to always simultaneously be more aggressive AND die less.

Well I am not one to criticize someone how they play on a private game so I guess congratulations are in order. My first plat was also with friends (Jade Cerberus) and the massive boss spam rattled me too at first. Based on my experience, if you play it regularly enough with your best kits first (different maps and enemies is the way to go) you'll get used to the pace of that difficulty.
On a sidenote, if you are a regular poster you should know that the box-of-shame Rio farming is generally frowned upon in these parts so some criticism is to be expected.

That whispery, robotic cackle. *shudders* Well done, Admiral. *salutes* My first Plat was waaay back in the day when White could still be farmed. Yes, counters of shame, but who cares? You still survived and you're a sweaty, gibbering mess at the end. Platinum is suffering, box of shame be damned.
