^ Speaking of that Collector mission:

Not being able to pick up all those extra weapons after picking one. Even on a New Game+.

That always bothered me.

Eh, I can handwave that as being that your selection determines what weapon is actually there, in a metagame sense.

I wish I could handwave that, but considering the weapons are laying there in the open...in plain view...

Aha, and another one.

Omega is in lockdown by Cerberus and there are these monsters there that were killing everything. Yet apparently, residents can spend time to ask Diana Allers to ask Shepard a question about mass relays...and not a call for help or anything.

...wat.

I've always assumed that translators work on some text as well. Why'd there be signs in English on the Elcor/Volus side of the Citadel otherwise?

That can be easily explained- I always thought that one could assume or guess that the signage placed anywhere could reference your own personal tech/ID (which everyone presumably has since you cannot get on the Citadel w/out indentification of some sort) and displays your innate langauge. That would be easy to do given the type of tech that exists in the ME universe.

It's said a bunch of times that Shepard is lucky to be alive and he must be VERY strong-willed to have survived it. So is Saren the same? What do they mean by "strong-willed?"

That's said by Liara who's not an expert on human physiology, right?
Regardless, maybe Saren picked up the codex first? Or maybe he knew how to use the beacon, making the transfer less traumatic?

Whole populations cannot defeat Reaper forces made from the defeated parts of those same populations (numbers don't add up to me).

Are you talking about husks (of all varieties)? Simples: cybernetic husk implants improve husks to be superior to the source species (cannibals have built-in cannons, brutes are much bigger than krogan, etc).
Plus, the Reapers have total aerial/orbital superiority...

Whole populations cannot defeat Reaper forces made from the defeated parts of those same populations (numbers don't add up to me).

Numbers. All our Thanix missiles managed to take down one Reaper.

No, but she IS the closest thing the galaxy has to a Prothean expert, so wouldn't she have SOME idea of how the beacons work?

And my point is, let's say you have 100 people. 15 get captured, brainwashed, and improved physically. That's STILL 15 vs. 85. Shouldn't the 85 win, numbers-wise?

How do Gerrel and Koris basically flip-flop so quickly form ME2 to ME3?

They didn't, really. Gerrel was a warmongering twit in ME2, and Koris was a pacifistic Geth-sympathizer. You're just presented with Gerrel as being on "your side", while Koris is on "the other side", because of them using Tali as a symbolic political football and a stand-in for her father (who sided with Gerrel and opposed Koris).

In ME3, their positions relative to you and "your side" have changed because your goals with respect to the Quarians have changed. You're not trying to prevent Tali's exile, you're trying to get the Quarians to stop wasting time and lives fighting with the Geth. And since Koris wants to not be at war with the Geth, and Gerrel wants to be at war with ALL THE GETH ALL THE TIME, well.....there you go.

No, I get that totally... I'm just surprised Bioware took an apparent "good guy" in Gerrel and an apparent "bad guy" in Koris and basically go the totally opposite way so abruptly.

Sides, it sounded like Gerrel liked Tali, so for him to fire on the dreadnaught with her on it was kinda weird.

If you take the time to talk to the Admirals individually during Tali's trial in ME2, it becomes more obvious that despite Koris immediately being painted as an antagonist during this mission, it's merely due to his disagreement with Gerrel's war. He has no disdain for either Shepard or Tali. Rather, he's playing politics to rally support for his cause, though admittedly Tali could be smeared in the process. Shepard can even agree with Koris' views openly if s/he wishes.

The Asari sharing the same kind of old art style with the Egyptian... Aka this:

I thought this was a nice touch, actually. Hell, maybe the ancient Greeks, Egyptians, etc gained their artistic sense from the Protheans...remember the sphere from ME1?!

Funny, I'm currently replaying ME2 and am now in Donovan Hock's vault on Kasumi's loyalty mission. Look what she has to say about this Egyptian piece of art:

Seems like the Egyptian/early Asari similarities have been planned well before the temple on Thessia.

reapers go through arcturis station, cause 5th fleet to retreat, go through the charon relay, go through lunar base, and our only warning is a lack of communication?

wow! i know the need to create shock and make the invasion epic, but that writing there is just so amateurish.

No. The codex covers that pretty much word-for-word. Slower-than-light sensors can't detect faster than light ships. And the first thing any attacking fleet is going to hit is communications.

This would also explain why the Prothean temples in ME1 were shaped like Pyramids...

*mindblown*

That doesn't need any explaining at all, actually. The pyramid is the most stable structure that be built high. It's therefore likely that pretty much any and every intelligent life in existence will build pyramids at some point.

Well...the connection with the Egyptians was clearly an obvious one with the art style and what not.

As for your point, the Egyptians and the Protheans built the same style of Pyramid. (square Base, sloping sides)

Other cultures on Earth, i.e. Mayans, Aztecs did not build their pyramids the same way the Egyptians and the Protheans did. (Layers)

The connection, most probably, was deliberate.
