Yes there is plenty to talk about what is wrong with Deception, Leng, Anderson and Kahlee being wildly out of Character.

He was still bad in Retribution tho. Dietz made him comedic, and ME3 didn't do much better, but he just wasn't a very good character to begin with.

Kai Leng is the reason that no one likes Kai Leng. Most people don't even know that the Deception book exists.
Many stories have such type of dudes. He just is one of those characters that you wanna stab them between the lungs. The satisfaction is so great when it finally happens

Same, I had never heard of the cliche leather clad space ninja before and to me the badly done plot armor and obvious TV Trope was just adding insult to injury since Kai Lame killed my LI. 

I had heard that his character was done well in the games but apparently that is not the case ?

In any case, best criticism of Kai Lame below

Which was really annoying about Kai´Leng was sky car scene and this was typical example of -obvious plot armor is obvious-. Why Shepard didn´t tried to turn around up side down the car or why Shepard haven´t tried to paint on walls with Kai´Lengs livers or how about pull the break ? I found at least 3 ways to kill a Kai´Leng without opening the sky car and trying to shoot him down... while his biotic shield ability managed to reflect a bullets, I highly doubt that the same shield could refelct the wall or fall from 1-2 hundreed meters.


It´s just funny how contrived whole thing was, also why Kai´Leng had to use an elevator to get to council when he could use the same sky car which he used to escape after the sabotaging Shepard´s car ? <.<

You pretty much killed your arguement the moment you did the Throw sue out as an insult and then not explain it.

Seeing that Kai pretty much ambushes most of his opponents in Retribution them not getting a shot off is justified or are you one of those people that read a summary of the book and not actaully read the book so you'd have context of the scene?

To be a Villian Sue you have to be illogically succeed alot with few set backs. Anderson gets the better of Kai to many times for him to qualify for Villian Suedom and of course the whole blown kneecaps thing, getting his ass kicked by Reaper Grayson only to be saved by Anderson. Hell He wouldn't have got the drop on the Turians without TIM's help.

Actually that's the only reason I don't like him. Bioware (and everyone really) should stay away from that formula on their future games, no one likes that, there are thousands of ways you can make a villain kick the hero's ass without making Shep look brain dead for minutes.
That final cutscene when we kill him should last a bit longer, like the Batarian on BDtS, allow us to make him suffer. Or maybe it's just fine, this way he will never return on a future game.

It's satisfying when it's a good bad guy, the type you hate because you hate him in-universe - i.e. a well-written character. WIth a badly-written one the best you can manage is "thank god I won't have to put up with him any more."

I never read any comic for ME besides the ones that came with the collectors edition of ME3 and ME2 and I still hate him

I never bothered with the tie-ins. I thought Kai Leng was bad because he has no personality, he's a ninja cliche and all of his victories require Shepard and his/her squadmates to act like incompetent idiots.
