Is there any way to find out how long you have been playing?

Unfortunately, not that I'm aware of. Which is mind-boggling that they never included something like that since Baldur's Gate 1.

Steam lists the hours spent with each game. If you don't own the Steam version, I don't know if there's any way to find out.
@Luminus: If it counts (since it's post-NWN2 and unrelated to DnD), Dragon Age shows your playtime.

Yeah, I was about to suggest that. Steam says that but it doesn't say how long that particular save is.
I was talking about the Infinity Engine games and the NwN series. They got smart finally with Dragon Age.
I guess it's not important and you can calculate more or less how much time it takes you if you keep separate saves in NwN2 and calculate the days since the first one and the current one.
If for example the first save is one month ago and you play three hours per day, then you spent around 90 hours on the game. That's how I did it with those games.

Thanks for the replies!
I took a look at various things like date creation, modification, etc. and there was nothing really to go on. It's not that important, but sometimes I would like to know how long I have been gone!
They must calculate the hours by executable start/stop...which isn't very accurate. I can start my app and then walk away from the computer for a while, which means I am not playing the game but the timer is ticking. Maybe some games actually track interaction or active progress only.

There are a number of stopwatch gadgets/widgets/apps out there you could try. You could be our guinea pig and do some trials for us.
