If you start a match solo, I'm assuming you can finish the match solo. Therefore, I will not be using any equipment or gear to make up for your poor decision making skills if you cannot. I will support the team and try my very best to complete the game (if the Server Gods allow), but I will not penalize myself to carry your unprepared behind into a big payout. This applies to all difficulties, but especially Gold, since unlike the lower difficulties, it cannot usually be soloed without a great deal of preparation. That is all.

Also, yes, I am an elist ******. And no, I am not particularly mad.

Edit: Just in case anyone in the future looks at this, I actually no longer feel this way. I think a better method would be this instead.

I'll admit to doing this sometimes. For some reason I can sometimes sit for 10+ minutes with a public lobby and no one joins. I get tired of waiting and start the match and BOOM, 3 people join before wave 1 even begins.
I also go into quick search knowing there's about a 50% chance of getting dropped into a match in progress, and I plan accordingly. I don't put on my BEST equipment, but I at least put on some level 1s.

Mad or lost the match, not sure which.....

Before I do a search if playing a pug, I am prepared BEFORE I press search, especially gold which is the only place I pug and use equipment, you see I play to win, and winning is fun so regardless of the team we will see wave 11.

One can`t fault players when there is still issues with the software, many times you can setup a lobby and no one will join, start the match and by wave 3 you will have a full team.

i play for fun, winning or lose doesn't matter, because knowing i did good job and had fun. that's what gaming is about.

And that is the crap attitude of most pugs, which is why they don`t bother using equipment or learn the basics, and by the way I am not referring to bronze or silver, you can do your thing there but when I join gold, I play in such a way as we will get extraction, if you want to die by wave 5 or less every game, what the heck is the fun in that. As a Volus would admit, it`s about the credits and getting paid.

Never found any joy in game or life being a looser......food for thought

If they have a crap attitude, don't use equipment, and never bother to learn the basics, why are you rewarding them by dragging them to a big payout? You're just rewarding that kind of thinking. That was kind of the point of the OP. If they can't be bothered to help themselves to the extraction by using rockects and gel, why should I force them to keep playing? I'd sooner just have the match end that much sooner and try to find a team that actually does care enough to use equipment and actually gives me a chance to put on it on in the lobby.
