[Overdosing]

Hey, guys. I just made this only to express my disappointment in the number of local multiplayer games there are now. This doesn't apply for primarily single-player games at all.

For me, it just seems completely shameful and different right now then what it was ten years ago. I used to play with my little brother all the time in co-op games on my PS and PS2. It was so refreshing and fun. Now, it seems as though some games that should have local co-op in them, don't. 

For example: the new SSX game that came out last year. The first 3 (SSX, SSX Tricky, SSX 3) were so fun, I played through the career modes and played co-op with my bro so many times. It was extremely fun, and there were some cases where I used a network adapter that I bought to play online with SSX 3. Now, with this new one, I don't have that attitude anymore. I just played the story mode of it for a week and got dome with the game. I didn't even bother playing the online mode of it, because there was no local multiplayer in it. It wasn't that much fun.

Now, I know that at least some local co-op games still exist, like Call of Duty, Far Cry 3, and some Sony Computer Entertainment games. In a lot of those cases, though, you still need internet.

And I figured that Dead Space 3 would have local multiplayer too, since EA added co-op to it. But, after playing the demo, I realized that it doesn't. And that tore me a little. Now it's questionable as to whether I'm buying the game or not.

This is a new age for gaming, for both better and for worse, but I'm really getting disconnected from video games when video games that have the perfect opportunity to have local multiplayer in it, end up not being in it.
