Meh.

She should have had more to do with the Cerberus side of the plot in ME3, simply from a story standpoint, but she did little for me as a character from the get-go. Interesting idea, limp execution.

It's pretty peculiar how the hardest to kill squadmate in ME2 just gets a bit role in 3 unlike Tali and Garrus and in spite of the large focus on Cerb.

It's not even worth bothering think about how they came up with the squad config. I don't even know how the default survivors managed to make it out to begin with. None of them had loyalty missions done, and it's only Mordin, Tali (the two most fragile squaddies), Garrus, Jacob, and Miranda.

You know it's bad when a Jack fan (like myself and some here) are bemoaning Miranda's role (or lack thereof).

Were you hear when some Jackolytes back in the day were fullout defending her character for a while?  T'was good times.

I love Miranda, but viewing it from a certain perspective - you can see certain "dull" aspects of her character, but if you look past that and really want to (that's the key) - you can find very interesting character development throughout her character, like any other character Bioware developed.  It really all depends on how you relate to them too, that's why I find certain characters more interesting than others, I see apart of myself in them.

You can easily say - all her development was related to her "daddy issues" sure, especially the writing in ME3, pre-Citadel DLC and that is fine, but I find it unfair to her character.

I like Miranda. She is more interesting than a few other squadmates.

I used her all the time in ME2. She is very tough.

Its unfortunate she wasn't a squadmate in ME3

I think, at the very least, she should have subbed (been an option to sub) for EDI at Cronos had she been alive.

Liara and VS were bound to be back as they were the only two previous squadmates who couldn't be killed off at any point. I also suspect this is partly why Liara's role in the game is so massive.

Having said that I'm surprised Miranda's role wasn't bigger. I could be wrong but I believe that she is the hardest ME2 squadmate to bump off during the Suicide Mission.

I like the idea behind Miranda, but the actual character left a lot to be desired.

The same can be said about Cerberus in general, come to think of it.

Shepard: "Hey, Miranda, aka the-only-person-we-know-who-has-visited-Cerberus-HQ. Mind going with us on the most important mission ever? Your sister can wait."

The problem isn't squad status or lack thereof. The problem is that I find ME3 Miranda pathetic and rather selfish. I have no particular reason to think that would change if she were on the squad and I wouldn't just get more of what I hate.

I don't think that requires much suspicion: she's a concrete factor in a unique position.

Right? I mean she has been to chronos before, why the hell couldn't she take us there? She could have just told us where it was without needing to put a tracer on Kai lame. :?

Remember broskies, the squad has no "permanence" in ME3.

The space station moves and it is in front of a giant radioactive star. No thanks.

I actually sympathize with this problem quite a bit, but not in that situation.

Just about every task that EDI accomplishes, Miranda could have.  Tweak the Illusive Man convo at the end of the mission, and bam.
