On a scale of 1 to 10. Everyone starts out at 5.

Abilities +2 = 7
Personality in ME2 -6 = 1
Hotness + >9,000 = Best charactar EVAR!

In all seriousness though she was a little dull in ME2 but still attractive.  The ultimate mind buck was giving her a personallity in ME3 but reducing her screen time 10 fold.

Interesting Character, Would have liked to have seen more of her in ME3. Instead of Ashley having to get dolled up to stand in for her.

I really liked her in Mass Effect 2. In my first playthrough I romanced Tali and hated Miranda mainly because I lost her loyalty when I chose Jack, and she acted pretty arrogant. Then I thought she was a much better character in Mass Effect 3 and eventually I went back and did a Miranda romance playthrough, I ended up having her die in Mass Effect 3 as I think her romance death is really well written and ends on a much better (although more depressing) note, but fits in with the theme of Mass Effect 3 really. I feel like they should have scrapped Horizon and have Miranda on Chronos Station. What I think they should have done is that if she is alive she assists you on Chronos Station and at the end sacrifices herself to take down Cerberus (not sure how they could do this though), and if she is dead then she is replaced by maybe EDI. I think this would end her story arc well and would be more meaningful than saving her sister yet again from her dad. Also I think she should be wearing a different outfit in Mass Effect 3, maybe her loyalty outfit minus the Cerberus logo, this looks pretty good as well (I found this picture on this forum):

So yeah I feel like they could have done improvements to her character in Mass Effect 3 but I still find her really interesting especially when romanced.

Also, gettin' banged by Jacob, another uninteresting character, (not to be confused with bad, I tend to like Jacob) makes her more uninteresting by association.

She and jacob never banged.

Yeah, and Tevos never banged Aria.

'Course they did.

I really enjoyed her character development in ME2, however I did not like what they did in Mass Effect 3. It felt like a re-hash of her loyalty mission except Daddy was personally involved this time.

Sadly enough, I don't really "like" any of the humans in ME. I mean, I don't mind them, I just find the aliens so much more interesting. I don't see them in almost every other game. xD

Miranda's fine, not boring, not that interesting, just alright. She's a good team member and friend of my Sheps.

Nothing wrong with Miranda that a little betrayal couldn't have improved.

She spent too much time talking about her genetics and family instead of, well, anything actually interesting.

This only got worse in ME3.

Also, I'm annoyed by her appearance. Spandex and heels in combat? Really? I didn't even find her to be that hot, either.

I really, really love to hate Miranda. It's just so easy to do, and it's funny.

Personally though, I don't mind her. I actually liked her quite a bit in ME2. Her... erm, more prominent features need to be scaled back quite a bit though. It looks really disproportional and laughably ridiculous.

Why can't you damned Romance discussion people stick to your subhuman private groups and keep your discussions there. Your bile has been pouring out onto the other sections of the forum since your precious sewage-disposal & character board was closed. Get out.

Miranda's booty is tasty to look at and delicious. That's all she's good for. Her butt.

An ass to start wars over, like a modern day Helen of Troy, except fought over by internet fanboys.

Only problem I had was how she kept on talking about how perfect she was made to be, when in fact, I thought she was fairly meh. Her father could have worked a bit better on her character too, lol.

People give Miranda a hard time.

But I think she had a really interesting, balanced, structured and well developed... butt.

You seem a little upset.
That stick makes you feel uncomfortable, doesn't it?

She is what I seek in a girl. Not only because of her looks but she is very intelligent, knows what she's doing. Also when you develop a friendship/relationship with her you find out that she has humor as well. Miranda is a nice character and totally not dull.

She was hard to "buy into" as a character, and came across as quite 1 dimensional, story wise. Dull story line, and the only real interesting thing about here was never really covered, and that is how prevalent "enhancements" are in the MEU.

She brought nothing to the ME story, and was quite literally a throw away; the only character in the story, imo, that was so needless, in terms of being in your party.

The only problem I had with Miranda is that her plot happened twice. You saved her sister during Miranda's loyalty mission and then she spends all of ME3 retreading this plot all over again, culminating with saving her sister a 2nd time.

It was unoriginal garbage.

I'll go with what Tali said:

'I never liked herr. Honestly, what a ****.'

Her backstory in ME2 was interesting, but she was one of those characters I hardly ever felt a connection with.

Miranda's only interesting as a love interest, particularly the renegade's romance.

The way the romance unfolds, with the renegade kiss starting it up, along with the "Love? I'm just trying to get you into bed" line. Before the suicide mission, when she tells you you need to come back to her, you say "no promises." She then fights along side you, quitting Cerberus after the fight.

Then you find her again in ME3, and reaffirm the romance. She tells you why she can't come with you, because she needs to find out how to save her sister. You ask to help, and she declines. If you say "be safe," she replies "No promises."

You help her out little by little from there as she hunts her father, now working with Cerberus, down. In the process she saves her sister, and gains valuable information for your cause. You arrive just in time to see her get revenge and save her sister, only to have her die in your arms.

See, that's damn fine characterization right there. Without the romance, not so much.

I think Miranda's character works well as a counterpoint to Jack. They are the exact polar opposites of each other, in all ways ranging from personality, loyalties and even their histories are mirrored in a way. Both escaped from, what was at the time, the only life they knew and they both have a connection to Cerberus. The way Miranda acts when around Jack speaks volumes about her and her midset.

It's just such a great dynamic that was played with really well. Also, Biotic cat fight. Who doesn't love a biotic cat fight? Only thing missing was some jelly and making out. :o
