Never understood why people dumped on Jacob and Kaiden for being bori g, yet ignored Miranda. Yes, she is indeed boring and lacks personality. I guess her rather large "assests" makes people not notice.

Don't comapre Miranda to freaking Jacob and Kaidan.

Kaidan > Miranda

If for no other reason Kaidan is superior for having remained consistent past the intro.

Miranda has a great VA. But her lines are atrocious.

I liked her for about 10 minutes when she seemed serious about contending for alpha b!tch status with FemShep.

At least she has feelings, troubles, and she cares about her sister.

If feelings, troubles, and caring about family members make someone interesting, then every human who ever existed is interesting. Most other primates, such as chimpanzees, as well as some other mammals such as pigs and elephants would be interesting too.

In conclusion I can only say you are a person of very broad interests.

Miranda Lawson...Ruthless, heartless Ice Queen....I'm female, so I guess will never see the appeal in melting Ice Queens, no interest what so ever....or womens *sses for that matter...,she's just a toxic woman....One of the greatest mistakes BW made was assuming for a woman to be strong she needs to be 'ruthless'...I would have loved to have seen strong women in ME...what we got instead was a string of Ruthless heartless killers and Damsels in Distress.

I don't like characters fauning over Shep....Liara much....<_<...well 'obsession' in her case....absolutely love James and ME3 Ashley for their attitudes towards Shep...I didn't like ME1 Ash at all...was just another ruthless viper...come ME3 Ash is brilliant....:wizard:

I don't find Miranda either dull or interesting....just simply think her character was something rather horrible....And yes, I did romance her a couple of times...no, it didn't change my opinion of her.

Miranda is probably up there in being one of the most interesting characters.

Who else is there? Mordin, Legion, EDI, Javik and possibly Jack. Everyone else pretty much falls head over heels for Shepard, except maybe Zaeed who does show an interesting criminal insight.

It was a travesty that Miranda wasn't a squadmate.

Eh shes ok. I liked her storyline in 2 espec the SM and telling TiM where to go. However by 3 i found myself getting a bit annoyed, same rehash of the LM from 2, same outfit, she doesnt seem to do much until sanctuary. I think she would've been better used to join the SR2's crew again as the XO, she did well in that role in 2 and there would have been some fun moments with an alliance crew. Or working with her sister to take down her father, or even Leng or Cronos station. Just something other than 'im in hiding, in broad daylight in a really distinctive outfit shhhh!'
The rehashed save the sister LM again and excessive a*sshots sadly put miranda into 'meh' category for me, unbothered if shes even in my game, a shame.

I can't put my finger on it, but I never really warmed up to her character. I don't hate her per say, but I don't like her either. I suppose I would go with dull. The resentful offspring story just didn't interest me.

For me, she's dull.

Pretty much what Kazzuk said.

Well i dont like Miranda in ME 2 and 3, i find her uninteresting since the only thing she talks about is her sister and the damn father, and personally i find it annoying to listen to all the time.

At first I though she was a icy b!tch and a Cerberus lackey. For my first few playthroughs I ignored her or verbally attacked her. Then I had one of my Femshep's try and befriend her. I was....pleasantly surprised. Heck, the first time I did her loyalty mission in ME2 I was utterly convinced she was bullsh!ting me about her sister, completely till the end when we actually see Oriana. Not to mention the FU moment on the Collectors Base.

Needless to say, she's one of my fave characters. Well, she would be in my top three if it wasn't for that stupid outfit and ass-shots...

It probably has a lot to do with my particular play through, but Miranda had one of the weakest story arcs. Her leaving Cerberus seemed out of the blue. She was a total die hard Cerberus apologist that kept feeding me the same excuses. Then I meet her in ME3 and she left Cerberus because of reasons... I guess? The only two sides of Miranda I've seen are "Yay Cerberus!" and "I'll do anything for my sista."

I like having Miranda dead because then I get to laugh at how poorly integrated the Sanctuary mission is to the story. Oriana sends you a message for no reason and that says nothing. Everything about it is trying to force upon you the idea that this is someone you used to know. That might be the only reason she was kept alive in the default playthrough, though.

Am I the only one who thinks Oriana looks nothing like Miranda. I expected her to be a near clone of Miranda, but she doesn't even look a bit like her.

The black outfit is her best outfit tbh.

I like her in ME2 and wish she had become the Shadow Broker instead of Liara.

Interesting.  The first time I finished ME2 (before LotSB), I was speculating on where the characters would go in ME3.  I always figured Miranda and Shepard would find a way to usurp the Illusive Man and Miranda would take over his operations.  Not even close.  Actually, Miranda was a huge let down in ME3.  Her story is basically a repeat of ME2, except she doesn't want Shepard's help this time...but still ends up needing it.  Then she pilots a fighter and that's her way of fighting the Reapers?  Way to put your stellar genetics to good use Miranda....

That said, Miranda's still one of my favourite characters from the series.
