If I want to play PvP there're about 100 games I could try.
Making ME4 with a PvP gamemode, would mean you'll have no powers (how OP will Stasis or Biotic Slash will otherwise be), and will render the game into shooter no. 101 released that year.

This. We already see the symptoms and we're not even fighting eachother! Spawn management, spawn nuking, glitching, harrier humping, taking advantage of things that may or may not be working as intended, ad nauseum.Boog_89 wrote...

I'd really rather have co-op with less compedtitive edge than ME3's MP. <.<
Not saying the next ME can't have PVP, but if it's the end all and be all, I'll be ignoring it.

Powers would work, ever played Magicka? I guess it'd be like that. Powers mustn't be balanced when they make it player skill based.

equal teams?, it never would work if they don't nerf powers to oblivion, the game would be boring and lackluster.

Tacking on competitive MP in an attempt to get a bit of the COD market never seems to actually work for most games. ME3 MP avoiding that pitfall has been the primary reason it's been relatively successful. But EA is involved, so I won't be shocked if ME 4 replaces the coop horde mode thing with team deathmatch and kill streaks (God help us all).

it would just come down to who has the best connection, and going by all the threads about connection issues and origin servers, most of the target audience would not play it.
maybe a score based verses would work, it would have to be either 1v1v1v1 or 2v2 playing against AI as the multiplayer is now.
all objectives give credits depending on how much you/your team helped to complete the objective
the team with the highest score at the end gets a credit bonus
the team who helped more with all the objectives at the end of the game gets bonus credits
using consumables would have a negative effect on your score, missiles etc would be minus a set amount, ammo powers etc would be minus a percentage of total weapon score.

Nope. I'd use a Batarian Soldier with Grenade Capacity V. It would be so easy it wouldn't even be funny...

Rage - wiping before extraction. Nothing is more scary than a loot **** that is not getting his credits. Trust
Only easiest guns - do we need to elaborate...
