I have a module on my hard drive doing nothing but gathering dust.

Therefore I intend to release mine and M.Reiders contirbution to the cptt as a coffebreak module in the near future. I am adding a small section to take the player from lv 1 - 2 but that is all it needs and so should be ready in a few hours of work.

If cptt comes back then I can do another mod to fill the gap that was mine but I don't see that happening so it is a crying shame to have 4 hours of play sitting on my hard drive complete when it could be out there being enjoyed.

I only say this to see if anyone strongly disagrees. It might be nice to connect it to any other existing work but that would start the whole process rolling that partly ground the original project to a halt which was trying to coordinate so many people. So I shall release it and if anyone want to take it up and connect it to thier work then they are welcome to.

One of my possible projects after Crimmor is similar to the cptt, but less story and more just adventuring on an OM (or several). So make of that what you will. If you do release this, and I do make that project, I'd certainly add it since you say it can be connected to other works.

I remember you posting on that. A worthy project and more acheivable than cptt I think.

I don't know what CPTT stands for, but as an outsider I don't know why anyone would object to you releasing it as a coffee break module. I like short modules, as long as the content is good. In fact I think I seem to tend to more often choose to play several short modules over one longer module.

I petition for release!

The TT was "Turmish Terror", it was a project for an OM based adventure covering level 1-20 or so, the end boss was going to be a rampaging Tarrasque. The project fell apart.

"Community Project Turmish Tarrasque". It was a project which involved the creation of a module between several community members (sort of like the "SoZ Holiday Project" on the Vault). The plot revolved about the search for the "Tarrasque", and it was abandoned AFAIK.

Edit: Ninja'd. "Turmish Tarrasque", "Turmish Terror"... whatever. Oh, and I wasn't a participant, but I definitely don't "strongly disagree" with those modules being released. If (IF) the project ever takes off again, I guess they could be included anyway.

Interesting. But I still think a separate release is a good idea.

The lack of a tarrasque creature model was one major stumbling block for the CPTT.

I still sometimes pit my epic-level characters against the hybrid tarrasque substitute I created (a balor head on a pit fiend body). I got the blueprint as close to the 3.5 tarrasque stats as possible (I had to add a few extra hitpoints though, since NWN2 has a level 30 cap). He's a tough customer, but the fact that an epic-level character can occasionally take him down shows you how over-powered NWN2 epic characters are. Just two blasts of Spiritual Evisceration will do the trick, if you want to avoid getting the snot kicked out of you.

I created one area inspired by discussions in the CPTT thread. Baggins Hollow - a halfling settlement in a bag of holding. I've long since uploaded it as a prefab area to the vault. If the CPTT is truely dead (and it certainly seems to be), then people might as well upload bits and pieces to the vault or the nexus. It seems a pity that people spent so much time on various bits of content, only to have them never see the light of day.

I still have all the work I put into the Centaur Bridge module that will eventually be realesed as well.  Pretty sure that would only be a couple hours as well.

I have some further playtesting that I need to do, but Places Deep is pretty much finished and would be ready to release.

I would encourage everyone to release their projects, such that they are. CPTT was a grandiose project and, I suppose, it failed to come together as it ought to have. If I have any say in the matter, which I really shouldn't, I say to get things out there. What good does dust collecting do anyone. :P

Hello to you too. :D

If Kamal is serious about putting that project--after Crimnor, sure--then I would direct interested parties his way. He is, shall I say, perhaps a better manager in these matters than myself.

I'm working on some Dragonlance content right now, but I would be interested in doing something that would really put a kick into the NWN2 community.

I think it is going to get that kick when BG II is released. If Kamal_ can get his project going or we can get some other releases to follow it it would hopefully show people that we are still active.

After all, we are still active!

^^ Must finish Crimmor first before deciding on anything. Beta turned up gameplay issues that need to be fixed/adjusted/addressed. That wasn't unexpected since there's experimental gameplay things in there.
