OK, so I figured that solo would be a good way to go, since I figured I could cluster up the enemies. Then I picked my human soldier, with max AOE grenades so I could hit lots of them. Then I picked bronze so I could kill them and glacier so they'd be all nice and close together.
No dice. I've tried it a few times and nothing. I can't get the dang enemies to cluster. Anybody have any pointers or advice for completeing this mission?
Thanks!

I used the asari vanguard, has stasis as a bubble and let a group get stuck in it then bam, rocket the group. I had it done by wave 3. Collectors/Hydra

Any Volus with a maxed out defensive Shield Boost and as much shields as you can get. Sit in the reactor on Reactor Hazard and, when there's 5+ people inside, hit the button and fry them all. Spam Shield Boost to keep yourself alive.

I used a Drell Infiltrator. It was harder than I thought it would be. I picked Cerberus first but that was a bad choice, when they were spawned close together they seem to disperse very quickly and not enough units rush you. I switched to Reapers and got it. In hindsight I actually think Geth might be best. The AI tends to slowly advance towards you with all units except rocket troopers, when it does that you are not reliant on the spawns so much.

Search for "killstreak".
There are some good threads already made about this topic.

Use a Geth with maxed range on Hunter Mode. Wallhack to find the spawn points sooner. Play Bronze. Play Reapers on Glacier (small map with easy to find spawn points) as their units move slower and cluster together more. Use Missiles to nuke the spawn point. Done by Wave 8. Easy peesy lemon squeezy.

Me and a friend went on Glacier, took positions on both side of one of the spawns points and as soon as more than 5 spawned at once...
BANG!!! 2 simultaneous rockets up their backsides! Was done by 2nd wave.

I used the drell infiltrator for solo bronze glacier. Promimity Mine allowed me to spot the spawn point then infiltrate and rocket. The third kill happened because I was getting swamped on the small map finishing a hack. Not unexpected.
With bronze enemy numbers it was surprisingly difficult to get 5 geth to all stand in the one place for a photo...

Don't go bronze, go platinum. Then missile spawn x3.

I used a volus engineer on giant against reapers. Recon mines work really well
