I think I'm one of the few that doesn't 'love' or 'hate' characters, but actually understands them. I can see what role they're playing, what part they have to perform, and like them or dislike them according to how well they fit that role. For instance, you're meant to hate Saren, Sovereign and Kai Leng, but I love each of them because they fit the story so well. I think it's safe to say that I love practically every character in the series due to how well they fit in. Apart from the SpaceKid. Still don't understand him.
The fanbases for Garrus, Tali and Liara actually made me genuinely hate them for the period between the release of Arrival and the release of ME3, then I heard their lines again and was reminded that they're not actually nauseatingly perfect Mary Sues, and that they actually have personalities beyond being Shepard's adoring waifu. Any longer between the games and I might have ended up going back to ME2 and killing off Team Dextro out of spite.
I think BioWare's biggest mistake was letting go of Chris, who wrote Ashley, Legion and Thane in their original forms. Their characters suffered to varying degrees with his absence. Somebody stuck that ridiculous suit on Ash, somebody killed off Thane, and somebody else apparently forgot everything Legion ever said about building your own future. Kaidan also lacks the humour his last writer brought to the writing, back when he'd say the most deliberate innuendos with a deliberately straight face. Now, he'll say something blatantly obvious and sounding like he's expecting a theatre full of laughter. His loss of subtlety was a great blow to his character.
I think Cortez was a terrific character concept, terrible implementation. The last thing we needed in a ship full of people grieving about parents, planets, dead children and extended family, was another mopey stereotype. Seriously, they could have crafted him as someone looking for payback, instead they made it so that he literally doesn't have the will to survive a crash in the final battle for his homeworld.
I can forgive BioWare for the endings, but not for driving Joel La Turkey away from the Motivational Pictures thread. That can never be forgotten.

-Romances Kaidan exclusively as male Shepard and being able to do this in ME3 and mod it into ME1 were actually the selling points.
-Does not like ME1 that much, good story moments, not such a good game.
-Never been a full renegade, although I happily kill Wrex, destroy Maelon's data and sabotage the genophage cure because I cannot stand having Mordin die.
-ME3 is my favourite of the trilogy and with the EC I actually really like the endings although I have a happy ending/reunion headcanon to keep me from being an emotional wreck.
you should write out that happy ending

I'm in the process of doing that.

- I actually didn't really like Tali
- I didn't think the endings were that bad - they weren't that GOOD but not that bad either
last but not least
- I didn't beat the stuffing out of Al-Jilani (I really should some day)

-take the standart male-shep-face but could spend hours creating the perfect femshep only to see in the middle of the game that she has a flaw and then rush to the ending to change that thing
-i don't think too big of liara but i romance her as a femshep anyway
-never liked zaeed but i had to take him with me because of the grenades
-always considered the threshermaw vs the reaper a COD thing. Too much unrealistic action.
-liked ME2 more than ME and ME3 combined
-hated the new mordin in ME3. He wasn't the Mordin anymore I liked so much in ME2. His advice about sex were hilarious and his singing too. I was sad nevertheless when he died "would have liked to run tests on the seashells."
-Never took the destroy ending because of the geth and EDI
-lost 4 crewmembers in ME2 and looked up a solution to save all of them.

-I think the Hammerhead is 20x better than the Mako, and ME2 is 20x better than ME1
-I think ME3>ME1 overall
-I think the Asari are all kind of lame, aside from Morinth, Aethyta, Aria, and ME2 Liara.
-I spoiled the solution to the Suicide Mission to myself so that I could save everyone on my first playthrough (I was that attached). I regret that decision.
- I caved and youtubed ME3's ending around the time I was halfway through Priority: Earth. I regret that decision.
- I sold ME3 and still need to rebuy it.
- It hurts to watch Legion or Mordin die, even on youtube in someone else's game. It also hurts to sell Tali out at her trial, genocide the Geth or the Quarians, kill Wrex, or let my crew die at the Collector base.
- I used to dream of Mass Effect

I can't bring myself to kill Wrex, Mordin, or Tali.
I usually kill Thane and Jacob during ME2 to spare them their ME3 incarnations.
I think Saren is kind of sexypants.
I couldn't shoot worth a damn when I first played ME1: I had to pause and line up most of my shots.

Completely spoiled the Suicide Mission of ME2 before playing it so that no one died.
I love the Mako and the repetitive quests in ME1.
I love Mass Effect 1 more than any of the other Mass Effect games.

*Let the AI control the abilities of my squadmates' biotics in ME1.

*Didn't install the Cerberus Pack for ME2 until after I had beaten ME2 and ME3.

*Got Garrus killed in the ME2 Suicide Mission and played ME3 without "fixing it".

*Killed Kai Leng strictly with the combination of Adrenaline Surge + pistol-whipping.

*Carried all the heavy scary weapons but secretly preferred the Locust SMG because of the chirpy ceramic-y noise it makes when firing.

*Thought ME3 endings were fine in concept but not executed very well.

*Didn't buy Omega DLC because it didn't make sense as a concept.

*Prefer ME1 gameplay to ME3 gameplay. *Has never played ME3 multi-player.

-When I first played ME1 on xbox 360 I thought it was poop.(I'll be stoned to death for that one).
-I seriously hate how Ashley is both religious in her time period and racist (or at least xenophobic).
-Don't ask me why but I always imagine James Woods when I hear Garrus talk.
-I only played Shadowbroker like 6 months ago but I've been playing ME2 since it's release.
-When I was 12 I found the Noveria level so scary that I stopped playing ME1 for a while (omg I was such a p@*#y).
-Upon reflection, prefer the original ME3 ending to the new. (I like how it left so much open to interpretation).

-ME1 is my favorite game in the trilogy (and second favorite game overall behind Perfect Dark).
-I miss exploring barren planets in the Mako.
-I miss weapons that didn't need reloading.
-I've never played as anything except a soldier in ME1.
-I didn't know different types of ammo could be used in ME1 until somewhere around my third playthrough.
-In my first playthrough of ME1 I wanted to side with Saren on Virmire as I was convinced the Reapers were indestructable. Sovereign was intimidating.
-Talking to Vigil makes me emotional and is the high point of the series for me.
-I transfer my first attempts. Meaning I played ME2 after transferring my first ME1 playthrough and played ME3 using that ME2 save.
-I actually liked Jacob.
-I found ME2 frustrating in that I felt it we were at the same point at the end of ME2 as we were at the end of ME1. I haven't gotten over that because...
-I would have been much more ok with the original endings if the Dark Energy plot was kept. That's what bothered me the most.
-On my first run through of the Suicide Mission only Miranda and Mordin survived.
-I couldn't find Legion on my first playthrough so he was never activated.
-I don't like the Rannoch arc and don't understand the love it gets.
-I really like the stargazer epilogue.

-I thought Balak was terribly underused.
-I'm a heterosexual male and Garrus makes me blush. Deal with it.
-I could never get past the whole "I killed your mom and made you watch" thing with the Liara Romance.
-I have never completed Therum without falling into the Lava with the Mako atleast once.
-It took me nine runs of ME1 to bang the consort because I kept doing the missions out of order.
-I don't hate Jacob. I just think he's an idiot.
-I ALWAYS cry at the same points in all three games.
-I have never completed any of the games with a 'pure' class (Soldier, Engineer, Adept)
-I've only ever ran to the AA towers on Virmire once. The way the scene is staged makes me think that's what you're supposed to do.
-I carried around an M-8 Avenger in ME3 so the cutscenes didn't break immersion.

I sometimes leave the mako behind and run. It's usually faster.
I didn't realise who Cerberus were (played second game first) and sided with TIM all the time.
I replayed the entire Rannoch mission after I couldn't talk Gerrel down.
I'd prefer Wilson as a squad member instead of Jacob.
I wish Garrus was actually called Scuttlebutt.
I accidentally picked control in my first ME3 playthrough. I wasn't listening and thought blue was for paragon

This is why Paragon/Renegade is bad sometimes.

- In my two playthroughs I've only played as the Soldier class so far.
- I haven't used the human squadmates except in missions (like the loyalty missions) where they have to be in the squad.
- I've romanced Tali in all of my playthroughs so far and have a mini-obsession with quarians in general.
- I accidentally picked the Control ending during my first playthrough of ME3.
- I haven't used the Renegade interrupt on Khalisah al-Jilani in any of my playthroughs...yet.
- I missed Harbinger's battle quotes in ME3.
- I've always played as a Paragon (mostly) since there are some things I just can't bring myself to do.

* I use the Avenger/Predator combo so the cutscenes look better.
* I've never done a full playthrough with a Vanguard or Infiltrator. I've never completed a Trilogy playthrough with a Soldier or Sentinel.
* I thought the Hammerhead was pretty fun.
* I didn't mind loosing to Kai Leng at Thessia because his gunship kept killing me in the boss fight.
* ME1 is my least favourite game in the trilogy because of the gameplay, inventory system and the dialogue.
* I knew everyone was hating on the ME3 ending before I finished it myself. When I got there, I thought "Is that all? That's not so bad". Bioshock, Fallout 3 and Metal Gear Solid 2 were all much worse.
* I think Samara is the least interesting character in the trilogy.

* I tried playing male shep one time. Got about 1 hour into ME2 and gave up.
* Wanted to romance Liara since I started playing ME2 (I'm on PS3, we didn't have the first one yet). When I finally got the chance, I just couldn't resist Traynor. Dammit she DESERVES it more.
* I want to do a renegade playthrough, but I just can't handle being that mean to everyone.
* I didn't really enjoy playing ME1. Loved the story, hated the gameplay. I hate the MAKO more than I hate Jack THERE I SAID IT.
* Mass Effect 3 is the only game I've ever played for this long, and the only multiplayer I've played for more than 30 minutes.
* My female Quarians in Multiplayer look like Altaïr.

I killed Tali and all her kin.
I still don't really understand the full significance of the reputation system.
I'm a klutz and I still can't melee effectively.

Kasumi is my favorite character, and I wish they'd developed her more.
I never play only one Mass Effect 2 or 3 playthrough. I always create a new character and go all the way through the trilogy.
Though I find Mass Effect 3 really boring to play at times, I always finish it because I feel I owe it to the characters.
In one of my playthroughs both Mordin and Kirrahe ended up dead, and after ME3 I realized that all the living salarians such as the dalatrass and councilor were slimy bastards, prompting me to realize that the only good salarian is a dead salarian. Literally, the only good ones are dead.
I haven't read any of the books so when Anderson was suddenly not councilor in Mass Effect 3 I was really confused.
I find it more exciting to play with SMGs or pistols than the more powerful weapons (shotguns, snipers, assault rifles), even in Mass Effect 2 when you get to use a powerful one at no disadvantage.

-I don't really find Thane that interesting
-Garrus is my headcanon romance for both fem and male shep, all others I consider to be AU's
-I haven't finished ME1
-I think Ashley is extremely realistic and immersible as a human character
-I don't have a canon Shep
-I wish people payed more attention to mshep's stubble
-I'm attracted to quarians and turians
