Can we please get a decent Morinth appearance in Mass Effect 3 through DLC???

She's my all-time favorite Mass Effect character, was my SQUADMATE in ME2, and personally helped me destroy the Collector Base in addition to numerous other heroic, important things (took her with me on missions as much as possible).

When Mass Effect 3 was coming out I was thinking "Yay, Morinth! She won't need to disguise herself as her mom anymore and actually have more of her own story!", BioWare even added Morinth to a list of characters that were confirmed to make an appearance in ME3... then when I play it the ONLY things that even mention Morinth are a couple of E-mails, a few references and a name-changed Banshee with no cutscenes or dialogue of her at all with no way to change her fate... she SHOULD'VE been in her mom's place at the monestary, saving her sisters. Such a slap in the face to Morinth fans and Renegade/alternate playthroughs in general.

Then I was thinking "Maybe she will show up in a DLC and they didn't have enough time for her on launch?", but after not seeing her in the Omega DLC I'm really thinking she's not going to have a DLC appearance... even Samara/Morinth's face model, Rana McAnear, is cosplaying as Morinth this year so she's definately not forgotten.

Before you guys say "BUT SHE WAS EVIL AND DESERVED IT!", she already died on Omega on your save slot in ME2, so let her fans get to see her in ME3! And she's fictional so I still think she's awesome even though she's evil.

It's really sad and bothers me, I thought she was such an awesome character and she was a squadmate and she get's such a terrible appearance in ME3... so please please please (I'm just pleading in general even if no ones reading this) PLEASE give her a decent appearance! She's seen on Earth as a Banshee and DLC's take place before the Earth mission, so it's possible to give her a decent appearance, hopefully with dialogue... maybe even... savable? I can dream...

And yeah it was lame beyond reason to simply rename a generic Banshee with "Morinth" and call it a day. Lazy bro

I must say, this is one of the strangest fan requests I've seen. I have always thought that the way Morinth was handled would have been better done with an almost-nobody NPC, maybe one of the mercenaries you could let walk away in ME2 or even Fist from ME1. The idea of seeing someone you know makes sense but Morinth felt like the wrong choice.

It was without doubt the laziest thing BW has ever pulled off in ME. Renaming that particular Banshee took not more than 5 minutes and those 3 emails you get on Liara´s terminal aren´t that impressive either.

I am still pretty sad about the fact that they totally ****ed every Morinth fan with that.

Considering that probably only 5% of fans ever had Morinth as a squadmate, you can just about guarantee that she won't be a character in the next DLC.

This. Not only was Mornith the least selected squadmate in ME2, she was also ignored the most in ME3. Having the DLC feature her above the less-forgotten but still mostly-forgotten ME2 cast is nigh impossible.

I agree. Having Morinth in the monastery would've been criminally easy...that's why I'd be surprised if she makes an appearance in the next DLC.

Might turn up if someone's theory that the screenshot Casey released takes place in purgatory is true.

About 5% of fans didn't take Garrus to squad in ME1, but in ME2 it is detected and there are different dialogues.. Your argument is invalid.

Somewhat different to having a DLC do the detection. Thinking about it, how many DLC's used detection of choices from previous games?

Out of curiosity, does this trend with Garrus continue in ME3?

Serious question, never had a playthrough where Garrus was never taken in ME1.

Unfortunately, BW had forgotten this and in ME3 Garrus always remember Ilos and events from ME1, even if he was never part of this events.

I was really disapointed of her pathetic appearance too. I didnt really expect a huge role, I thought she'd have be the replacement of Samara, like Kaidan and Ash. Turns out even that is too much.

I get there are budget problems, but turning her into a banshee was just a slap in the face for both her and her fans. There were very few thing which annoyed me more in the game- or even the trilogy.

Unfourtenatly, if BioWare was willing to turn Morinth into a banshee, I doubt they'll make a DLC for her. Maybe there will he a future DLC with a few mentions of her, but that is the most I expect from them.

While I'm definitely in the "Morinth Fan" category, the magic 8-ball in my head is saying "Outlook not so good". As stated before, even getting to have morinth aboard your ship would be rare for most players(especially with half of them not finishing the game itself). If they're going for Character-Focused DLC, they'll naturally be going for the more popular ones from the roster.

The Abridged Answer: I'd love it, but it will never happen.

Why do any of you even have that monster alive? To hell with Morinth.

^Same can be said for Samara. At least Morinth is aware of her actions. Samara will kill everyone in her way and believe there is nothing wrong with that as long as her code demands it.

Samara is under no illusions what she is. But 9/10 the people Samara kills are criminal scum. And Killing innocents is never the first action, she always has alternatives to try first. Morinth is a manipulative serial killer who preys on the emotionally weak and isolated.

I never chose Morinth over Samara. Ever. I don't recall seeing her as Banshee in any of my gameplays. She only appears if she is alive at the end of ME2? That would explain it.

That said, I understand the feeling of those that wanted a decent appearance of her in ME3.

Yet, I also think that any other crew from ME2 deserved more spotlight than they got in ME3. Anyone BUT Morinth.

That is completley untrue.

That merc we've seen when we first met her? Samara could have let her go. She had no reason to kill her, she didn't pose any danger. But she still did it. And you can bet this and other simillar cases are not rare to happen. Much more than even the people Morinth probably even killed.

In fact, by Samara's own words we can already guess the only time Samara ever cared about any of her victims was only her own daughters, and you can bet she wouldn't even blink if it was someone else in Felare's place.

Morinth is not a saint, but she is fully aware of what she is. Samara only follows her code and let it decide for her. You can never reason with this kind of person.

You mean the Eclipse sister, who we know are only allowed to join after committing a murder? Who as a member of Eclipse was a moral-less killer for hire? Samara didn't just let her go? And after offering her a way out on numerous occasions? And who had just previously tried to kill Samara?

Huh. So strange.

Wrex murdered too. So did Thane, and Jack. Every squadmate we know and love killed. Does it mean Samara should have killed them all? Besides, Eclipse is a Mercenary gang. They're hired to kill, whether it's for a good cause or a bad one. They can't exactly hire someone who doesn't know how to do this job.

And also, Samara's "way out" was to reveal Morinth's ship. Both ways the merc dies. Samara didn't offer a way out of anything. The merc was not a match of Samara, as she was also wounded and defensless.

So, yeah. Samara could have just let her go, loosing nothing in the process and still let the merc keep her life. But nope, the code demanded her death for no clear reason.
