Rebuilding my Destroyer again, need some input.

Deciding between a few things.

1)  Damage or Tankiness
2)  Hawk or Cobra
3)  Missile Launcher Armor Piercing or Recharge Time
4)  Whether to bother with Grenades at all.



1)  Again. I usually go all damage, but debating whether I should curb damage for more health and shields this time around.
2)  Hawk or Cobra...Hawk being better at range and for multiple enemies, but I'm usually close to mid range due to the revenant, so I'm thinking the Cobra with its upped damage by might be a good choice this time around.
3)  Not sure how much armor piercing matters when it comes to stagger, or if I should just have my missiles firing every 2.5 seconds instead of 4.
4)  I rarely use grenades, if only because I'm too slow to really keep running for ammo boxes.  If at all, i usually just put 3 points into it.  Only way I'd go 6 in grenades is if I drop something else, which i'm not sure I would ever do.

Thoughts? 

OH and I thought of one more.  Rank 6 of Fitness.  25% more Weapon damage after an enemy is killed by HEavy Melee, or increase health and shields by 25%?

I personally prefer 6/0/6/6/6.  All damage upgrades for DM and passive.  I like the grenades over the missile launcher seeing as how you can't dodge with DM and I'd rather not give up more shields.  That and I find the multi-frags to be quite awesome for staggering multiple enemies and a great "panic button" up close.

I suppose there is an arguement to made for taking shields over damage in DM, but I have always felt that the destroyer's thing was to maximize his weapon damge through passive buffs and it best to play to that strength.  But try out different builds and pick whatever you are most comfortable with.

Honestly it depends on what weapon(s) you intend on using though.

Personally I prefer to drop the last point in Fitness and take three in MFrags. They're strong enough that they're still useful for clearing out a small area quickly on Gold.

ive seen you post before that you take all upper row on devasator mode ( shield recharge, ammo, shields ) on the ppr build.  Don't you think that accuracy at 4, or damage at 6 might be better?   I have fooled around with a lot of combinations, and maybe that 30% accuracy would help the ppr as well as the typhoon?

I don't b/c I want him to be as tanky as possible (besides the shield hit from HML)... the MFGs are decent at low level... but I have the HML so I don't need them. 1 PPR X clip and an entire spawn is dead anyway (unless it has big bosses). I haven't had any "Ohh sh!t" moments where I wished I had MFGS, because if you know what you're doing.. aiming the HML is pretty easy (put the red power targetting brackets on the enemy you wish to shoot).

Don't have typhoon or particle rifle in multiplayer, though I didn't like how they felt in single player so probably won't be using them too much even when I get them in MP.

PPR is laser accurate with zero spread.. it doesn't need any accuracy evo. It damn sure helps the Typhoon though.

I took damage at rank 6 for the longest time... I recently changed to the shield evo because it lets me walk around like a God. I can get 15% damage back pretty easily through consumables. In the RARE instance that an enemy survives... I can always stagger him with the HML while the PPR recharges and then finish him off.

The other reason I stopped speccing him for max damage is b/c I got tired of using right hand advantage so often with him... I'd rather just casually walk up to a spawn and murder everything. I used to take damage in DM, and Assault Rifle Gear V in the gear slot... now it's shield evo and stronghold package.

I honestly do not miss the extra damage even one little bit... even on Plat.

I do. Damage and Force, Armor Damage, Hydra... and I take Power Damage at rank 5 of the passive. With that setup the HML can stagger pretty much anything that's not a boss... and it will have enough force to stop banshees from jumping around when they get low on barriers.

I like no missiles, full nades. I hate a passive ability that targets enemies on its own. Annoys the control freak in me. Plus full power multifrags are monstrous.

Geth Trooper has no stagger powers.... I really hate that in a kit. Makes them weaker in CQC (like the Quarian Marksman).

I'm not sure how I feel about the Missile Launcher... And honestly, my grenades are only a "HELP I'M BEING OVERWHELMED BY MELEE PEOPLE" last resort...

I usually just go with the pretty standard build with the Sabre and the Wraith/Piranha.

So I don't have the PPR in MP, but I'm using the revenant on my destroyer, meaning i'm usually mid to close range.  How would you suggest the build for that?

The control freak in you should learn to control it. It's pretty easy... I know you're good enough to figure it out.

I run it with the Typhoon, thus ROF-Accuracy....build is below at N7HQ

I run the PPR on the Ghost as I believe from reading here, ROF hurts the PPR, not totally sure however
