Keep everything the same except in Devastator Mode take Accuracy and ROF instead of shield recharge and clip size.

In the past I have used the Typhoon and the Revenant extensively, but I just prefer the Sabre overall... After the Typhoons Nerf its still good, just not as good at lower ranks. Revenant is fantastic except at longer ranges.

So NOBODY likes the extra damage and force of the Cobra?

I do. Damage and Force, Armor Damage, Hydra... and I take Power Damage at rank 5 of the passive. With that setup the HML can stagger pretty much anything that's not a boss... and it will have enough force to stop banshees from jumping around when they get low on barriers.

Nono...I meant Cobra, the lower rank 6 evo, which has its damage and forced upped by 150% while the impact radius is upped by 300%

I run it with the Typhoon, thus ROF-Accuracy....build is below at N7HQ

I run the PPR on the Ghost as I believe from reading here, ROF hurts the PPR, not totally sure however

It hurts because the PPRs ramp up is based on a time limit now on ammo consumed. So if you have a ROF bonus, you're going to use up more precious ammo before the hot beam starts. The base ROF bonus in devastator mode isn't enough to matter however b/c you have the larger clip evo.

Am I the only one that puts 0 points in Fitness? I figure he's got high enough base shields that a Cyclonic Mod 3 or 4 can keep him alive on Gold/Plat, and meanwhile I can mow down spawns with Hydra Missiles, Multi-frags and my hip-fired Typhoon. It's wacky fun.

Obviously he's not as tanky as he could be, but bad guys rarely survive long enough for that to be an issue.

Probably more like this.

Or if you want the Hawk, and it would be useful on the approach, like this.

I do believe he ment Cobra Evo at rank 6.

I prefer the Cobra over the Hydra. It staggers everything (even bosses), and when it hits usually it smacks an entire group. If they dodge the missiles radius still hit them. With Refire Evo it shoots every 2.7 seconds keeping Phantoms at bay. It does more damage than you think, in two minutes it can fire up to 47 times (if I remember correctly).

I really don't want optional equipment that can RUN OUT be part of the base build considerations.  Gear is considered, just because it can't run out.  But armor, weapon and ammo bonuses?  No, those are just Bonuses, so not to be considered when building a character, in my opinion.

The tracking is really really bad. It shoots out of your shoulder and veers off to the right, then loops around and hits the enemy in the side. The Cobra missile just ends up hitting the walls much too often IMO (over half the time) while the Hydra missiles fly straight and true. Basically... the flight path is SO SO bad that Bioware pretty much made the decision for me.

Edit: Also... the damage/force values in the tooltip for the Hydra Missiles... that's how much damage each of them do... so multiply that number X3 to get the total damage per salvo.

Also, I added it to OP, but on rank 6 of the Fitness....do yall think I should get 25% more weapon damage after killing with a heavy melee, or max out health and shields?

But does the tracking really matter at mid to close range?  I've noticed that up close, at least 2 of the hydras tend to miss as they spiral around, leaving one weakened missile hitting the opponent.

THat's the thing.  The Cyclonic Mods are simply boosting his already good base shields.  They're not necessary at all, if you use right hand advantage and all that.  They're just a little extra padding that can do a LOT given his already high shields.

I honestly don't know. I haven't used the Cobra in awhile b/c I became frustrated with its lack of performance. I used it for 4 matches and even in the most open areas it always found the walls (Dagger, Hydra, Rio). I can shoot the Hydras through little windows, down tight corridors, etc. The Cobra can't do any of that from my experience.

Base 1000 + Max Fitness for Heath & Shields = 1650 + DM Shields at Rank 6 = 2050 + Shield Booster V = 2350 + Cyclonic Mod 3 = 3350 - 100 for HML.

Total 3250 Shields...

Do this. Wrecks everything....

You said you don't have the Typhoon or PPR but this build works and is very versatile with any weapon. Gives you a lot of tankiness and durability. Go Cobra with the HML so you can stagger low and mid tier mobs on Gold and lower, armor damage is useless as you won't be killing bosses with the HML.

Hydras are pretty useless on anything other than husks/abominations above Silver. MFG's are meh. I tried to like them but they are my least fave grenades in the game. Skip them entirely.

Yeah, I know my friends hate it when I tank and crowd control enemies while unloading a Typhoon/Revenant/Indra/Piranha into an Atlas.

I always factor equipment into my builds... b/c equipment is limitless. If I get low on one thing... I play another kit for a few matches. No big deal.

When I play on my friends account... the consumables pretty much dictate what class/weapon I'm going to play. Run out of Cyclonics... use classes that make good use of Power Amps, run out of both, use a weapon class that can get some mileage out of a stability mod, don't have them... use an Asari with Shield power cells and dodge everywhere. Same thing with the ammo, disruptor = engineers/snipers, incendiary = soldiers/Vanguards, warp = Adepts, etc. etc.

I'm going to be honest, people think the Destroyer is boring because they don't take the Hawk Missile Launcher. That thing, I think, is incredibly fun. Especially with Hydra. If Cobra wasn't stupid, I'd take that but... Eh. I like to hit my targets :P

Tracking depends on the range. If they're in your face there going to get hit. If there a ways off its 50/50. However dat radius (2 meters)... It almost always hits multiple targets making up for the times it misses. It finished off a Phantom and 2 Dragoons at once for me yesterday.

LOL... so much fail.

Armor Evo on HML isn't for bosses... it's for Bombers, Pyros, Dragoons and finishing up bosses (which it does, often).

Hydras useless below Silver... OMFG BSN... I need to start screen shotting games...

Hmm interesting. I might have to give it a try again on a CQC built Destroyer (my CQC destroyer features a Crusader!).

What platform are you on? I'd like to get some games with you...

Okay so few new questions about rank 4 evos.

HML: Does the shield penalty reduce ALL my shields by 50% or should I get the shield penalty reduction so it only reduces shields by 10%, as opposed to more power force and damage by 40%?
Also, faster recharge time, OR more armor piercing? is the armor piercing required for staggering?

DM: If I'm going revenant, and NOT speccing for max weapon damage, but going for tankiness instead, do I really need to worry about upping accuracy by 25%, or make it so my shields start recharging 30% faster?

Battlesuit: Should I be focusing on power/ or weapon damage in this tanky Cobra Missile Launching case?

It is fun, but Hydra does like...NO damage.

I think Cobra would be a lot more fun if it actually make the nuketastic explosion when it hit like the Cobra on your back.

or at the very least made a grenade-ish explosion.  Just SOME kind of big explosion on contact.
