Temper your expectations. That's all we can say for now.

Every day I have a look at BSN and there are threads popping up with unecessary assumptions, presumptions and wishful thinking. I, too, am excited for more Mass Effect - but I don't expect, assume or forsee it being anything in particular.

The best I can guess right now is: "It maybe has one casino or something"

I would love post ending DLC, or some kind of "learn more about the catalyst" dlc, but if I hype myself up for it, anything else, which may also be awesome, may be marred by specific expectations.

The best strategy is to expect that it will be more Mass Effect, which to many people like myself, is awesome none the less. :)

P.S. Chris feel free to make a similar post to this and sticky it,
because you've been a bit stretched thin trying to say the same thing
over and over in these threads :P :)

Peace <3

Elmo

Yeah I'm afraid it's too late, and now if the DLC isn't what people hope it is then they'll blame BioWare for not living up to the hype that they actually created and built out of nowhere.

But temper your tempering. Don't go too low. Keep your expectations middle of the road. Like between a 4.1 and a 6.2 on a scale of 1 to 10. If you're not sure if you're properly tempering your expectations, post them here and someone will let you know if you need to re-temper.

Will be no different, Roll on when the leaks hit.

Just wake me up from the rubble and let me relax in my condo from Pinnacle station with my LI, As the radio is playing the soundtrack we both look out the window upon the horizen.........Then again that is headcanon so i guess now i don't need post ending dlc......

But don't temper your expectations of your fellow BSN'ers. Be as jaded as you possibly can.  Get in your shots now.

What's the acceptable amount of excitement and anticipation that the BSN should be allowed to have, Elmo?

As far as anything ME-related goes, I'm resolutely sticking to the "Guantanamo Bay Theory" of expectation; it's rubbish until it proves itself otherwise. I find it works well; that way if it's good, it's a pleasant surprise, and if it's not then I've lost nothing and I'll get that smug feeling of knowing that I'm smarter than people who let themselves get overhyped, putting completely unrealistic expecations on the thing, and would very likely end up contemplating suicide when the DLC fails to live up to them.

In all seriousness though, it's never a good idea to buy into the hype and get yourself too excited, as the product cannot possibly live up to your likely unreasonable expectations. That's exactly what happened to me and ME3; I got massively excited and, when it was over, I came away feeling like I might as well have been waiting for a cow to take a dump on my face.

As long as the DLC isn't chasing ghost boy in Shepard's dreams for four hours I'll be satisfied.

Speculation based on official info - but none of these faith based "I truly believe we will get X dlc"

I'll raise your re-temper to a re-re-tempering of the re-temper.

Sounds like your expectations are below the 4.1 threshold, Ithurael. You have over-tempered. Please retro-temper to an acceptable level. Thank you for your cooperation.
