Anybody got more info as to why the heck they would punish the host in a Cerberus match?

Anyway, it makes it impossible to kill the phantom with a hitscan weapon that doesn't do gigantic spike damage.

I get that... but apparently there's inherent DR as host. Doesn't matter if they're doing acrobatics, the host does less damage to them.Drayce333 wrote...

Still doesn't change the fact that the Phantom can do a cartwheel and survive a Javelin X headshot from a GI on health which is a load of bollocks.Crimson Vanguard wrote...
If you shot at them through cover, without locking on them they won't flip.

They actually get huge DR just for MOVING, and then EXTRA DR for flipping. Combine the two and they are invulnerable.

The reason phantoms suck for host is because when they do a flip dodge they get 90% DR. Enemies react faster to the host so many weapons will get a lot of their damage blocked.
uhh no. They get the DR as long as they move, period, against the host.

They won't if you shoot through wall.TheCandlejack wrote...

That's only for 3 classes though and not everyone is going to want to play an Asari or Volus.Beerfish wrote...

Agreed but this is in response to the many threads that use those classes with people not specing into stasis at all or only 3 points all the while insisting their method of dealing with Phantoms is easy and fool proof.

I won't host Cerberus matches, and if U/U/G drops me into a Cerb match, I stay as far away from Phantoms as possible. I already give them a wide berth with my OG Turians and Batarians, though. Dat sync.
So you understand it. We're talking about inherent DR.... not situational DR (Flips, moving) If you're host, then then can shrug off headshots, paladin shots even delicious Claymore/Raider/Wraith shots to the face.

3 points I found is a bit of a waste. You want 4 for the extra 150% damage or fully maxed out.Beerfish wrote...

Because the game won't be challenge without bull**** from enemies. Plus Biower definition of difficulty is cheapness.JamesDobry wrote...
Anyone know why they'd add that?

Bug. DR for flipping is probably supposed to apply to everyone. Another bug on the DR continuing to apply after flipping stops. It would be nice for bioware to fix to bug so everyone suffers together
