I say poor aim, sorry dude. The only way to be sure of a kill streak these days is to aim for the ground in the center of the group and if you're exposed pray you didn't misjudge the kill radius. I've had praetorians in front of troopers and scions coming down the long dirt ramp on Condor, nailed the second praetor (center group) from ground level, far side near the pump housing and had the splash damage competely voided on the scions behind. Aim at the ground, center group, or at the feet of the emergancy kill, its never failed me yet.
*( I already explained that they hit the target the 2nd guy hit the atlas in the chest dead on. I fired at the ground and nothing happend they just kept attack till i fired the second shot. It seems to be a glitch that makes host 1st rocket not kill.

Ok during the N7 weekend I notice someone fire a missle and miss. To me I was like what a newb he fired 1 and
missed then fired another one that hit. Not to long ago I noticed it happened again only the 1st one hit the target but
nothing happened but the second one killed. When that person lost connection to the game I noticed that he was
host. As the wave resetted I was host and when I tried to missle a phantom and Atlas the first missle missed at point
blank but the second one killed. To sum it all up it seems to be a new glitch that makes it where the 1st missle fired
by host will miss. Has this happened to anybody else after the 1.05/1.08(ps3) update?
Bad title.
But I agree, this has happened to me several times this week.
Aiming at the ground near enemies and I hit nothing, at point blank.
I lose the missle, fire a second in the exact same spot and all baddies are dead. I have been host, and non-host. I also thought my aim was just really really bad, but after the third occasion I kinda figured something was off.
There is no rhym or reason, no particualar enemy or map, it just glitches out.

Disclaimer though: I was having a really laggy match anyways, and my friend (host) said he shot through the enemy's leg. I'm not sure if he meant he missed, or if it went through the legs and then through the floor.
I'm fairly positive it was lag, as the remainder of games I played went fine after I restarted my system and started a fresh lobby, but I'll throw it out there in case this does turn out to be an issue.

I hope it doesn't become a common occurence now. If it's the price for having "the" glitch fixed, well, I guess it kinda sucks but it's okay.

today i saw a reverse missile glitch: the launcher was firing javelin shots!
I saw this a week ago, too! I was spectating, and a player had their missile launcher out, but it was firing like a Collector Assault Rifle. It was hilarious, but it's just a cosmetic glitch. He wasn't one-shot killing anything.

I sought out this thread because it's happened to me and others several times in the last week on PC; missiles are now unreliable when playing off-host, sometimes fatally, often the first missile fires but does not explode whilst a second works fine - if you're lucky enough to still have a second and be alive to fire it.
Mission 3 ... "An N7 job went bad but their drone survived. Recover its data and find out what happened."
Mission 6 ... "We've found a dud rocket launcher. Retrieve it and bring it back to the extraction zone."
Mission 10 ... "We've been lllllucky. Sevvveral high value targets have been ssssssspotted in your area ..." [ Cunningly Creepy Cerberus comms announcement. ]
So the job 'goes bad', again. Biotic charging a hoard of bosses armed with dud rocket launchers is a great
way to decimate the heroic ranks of cocky N7 vanguards, a brilliantly
more efficient and effective enemy strategy than conventional warfare.
My first experiences was running in to a couple of Primes 20 seconds from extraction on a White/Geth/Gold. They were their usual 2 metres apart so I backed a metre just out of melee range, changed to rocket launcher, walked right back up to them, fired at the floor directly between them. Nothing. Missile fired but didn't explode, and no damage. All I could think of was this thread, as I'd spent 3 seconds right next to them before firing so there's no way that is network position-lag. Fired at the same spot again, which worked fine. It only just got me to extraction on time.
Now I'm seeing it more often and watching others inexplicably miss the ground and have to fire again ... it's annoying but also gets comical after a bit amidst shouts of, "Next time, buy Cerberus!"
