The BBC have posted a story. Still no mention of what happened though. 

In memory of Robin, I'm planning to play through Mass Effect 2 with Zaeed at Shepards side the entire time. Such a shame that we lost him. He was a man of such incredible talent.

Just heard the news this morning from a friend, it's a damn shame. His voice was so iconic and awesome.

If this is true then this is terrible news. Robin Sachs provided an awesome and memorable voice to all his characters, especially Zaeed. Voice acting in video games is now lesser due to the loss of such a talent.

RIP Robin Sachs. We will miss you.

R.I.P. I was just doing another ME2 playthrough with Zaeed exclusively in my party. Sad day. Also, the idea of having an "Operation Sachs" with a human soldier is a great idea!

I wouldn't mind a mp kit that used Zaeed's armor with a modified helmet that covers the entire head and had Inferno Grenades, Concussive Shot and Marksman/Adrenaline Rush/Something Zaeedish like an ability called "Jesse's Vengeance."

I would say would play with Zaeed throughout my next playthrough in honor of him, but I always do anyway, one of my fav squadmates. Really sad to hear this, fantastic Voice Actor and no one even knew he was dead for half the week, so sad.

I know Zaeed was a DLC character, but he was one of my favorite squaddies in the whole series.

I'm also a fan of Robin's work on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Mr Sachs will be missed.
