Volus adept suffers from what every other Adept does, and thats damage. Face it. They arent biotic killers, which is unfortunate. Volus adept, I slap a Falcon on and he rocks. If the Volus had better damage on a stasis+orb combo, that would be cool.
Ever played him as a weapons platform? Seriously, try it. Chuck a Reegar or any other good CQB weapon on him, run around spamming Shield Boost and shooting stuff. 1.5 Seconds of Invulnerability from Shield Boost and the Heavy Melee make him into a miniature Krogan with the ability to freeze phantoms and boost everyone's Shields during objectives.

1. Turian Saboteur, definitely.
2. Any and all volus kits (bar the VolEng maybe). The perspective, the weirdness of Shield Boost, general "support" play etc. Volus are awful and should be thrown out of the airlock.
Volus. Aren't. SUPPORT CHARACTERS.
If you play any of the Volus like a walking Shield Pylon, you're doing it wrong.
I dunno, the volus adept doesn't seem to be good for anything except his shield...biotic orbs that can barely kill an unshielded mook?... stasis? Yeah if he isn't support I dunno what is. Sure you can run and gun with him with a good weapon in his hands, but that can be said of anybody. Issue though is the kit he has.
Volus Adept is a minitature Krogan with the ability to kill Phantoms with ease and make objectives easier. Slap a CQB weapon on him, run around and shoot stuff in the face while spamming Shield Boost. The invincibility frames from Shield Boost and his Heavy Melee make him nearly invulnerable unless stunlocked.
Goofing off w/ the VA I recently discovered that if you strap on a PPR he becomes a pretty beastly little beach ball. With 4 orb evo you get 4 free FE's off ppr incin ammo without losing the ability to SB since cooldown on orbs is only for the initial activation. With all 4 orbs going the weight of the ppr lets ya spam like your carrying a predator. Also gives ya range versus having to tote a cqb weapon

Umm what? Every adept suffers from damage? Do you mean they are squishy or lacking in dps? If all your weapons are maxed and you have a ton of gear then yes you will probably out damage a power based class as a non power themed kit. I regularly see adepts slaughtering mooks or melting bosses in gold games (cant speak for plat).
Apologies if I misunderstood what you were trying to say.

There are a large number of classes that people claim are roflstomp factories that don't actually seem much better than what I'm used to, and a few that are supposedly good that I suck with, but the biggest is probably the Quarian Male Engineer. I've yet to have a good match with him.

I'm sure there are players who can solo plat/gold with them, but I can't play them.

No problem. I mean purely from a biotic standpoint. Id prefer a reave/pull combo to be as effective as a Claymore to the face (extreme example, but hopefully you get the point). Yeah, I can slap a Reegar or Wraith on a Justicar and do heavy damage from a weapon centric build, but thats not normally how I play them.

Yeah so you're just spamming shield boost, which is my point, his kit is worthless without it. You may as well kill stuff faster by spamming shield boost near your team mates who will no doubt have better weapon passives and other skills to kill faster than the volus anyway.

I can't believe anyone would place literally ANY other character on top of the Volus Mercenary as "worst kit ever". Let's review, okay?
The Volus mercenary has three powers:
-Combat drone
-Decoy
-Shield boost
Which means that he doesn't have any reliable damage-dealing powers. The drone ranks only a "decent" in damage output, while the Decoy is nearly useless against anything that isn't the geth.
This of course means that you depend on the weapon you carry to deal damage. The problem is that, if you carry a weapon that is a little too heavy, you cripple shield boost's recharge, and that reduces your survival odds.
So yeah, the Volus Mercenary wins the "poorest kit" contest, on the basis that he is the only character that lacks any direct offensive power at all.
Seriously, why would anyone talk s***t about the Saboteur or the other Volus when the Mercenary Volus exists is something I can't understand.

2. Drell. I just...don't care for them. I'm not saying I'm bad with them. I know the general idea of how to play each of them, but it just doesn't quite click as much as almost any other kit (barring the Krodept, and a few Volus; they've never been played).

I have to admit. I came to this post looking for someone to say this.
Try w/o charge, using heavy loadout with pull maxed for recharge at end. Recharge at -106% is under 2 seconds letting me pack just about anything on that ninja while stealing mooks gravity.
Also for the OP post.........
hmmmm
hmmmmmmmmm
(thinks for 5 more minutes)
I guess most of the volus kits are lackluster but I can still rock'em n play the vicious teddy bear ^^
Btw seeing a spinny floaty frozen nemesis was the best laugh iv had in a while, it just rotated w/o flipping like a frozen balerina.

Weakest class around? I would vote for the vorcha hunter, since for me his powers are 'off'.
class I can't figure out? Drells. I can play volus more or less okay, but drell? nope, too squishy for me.
