It's always fun when you hear the voice of a character you love in other stuff. He was one of those voices you couldn't help but recognize and it sucks I'll never hear Mr. Sachs again. RIP.

I'm guessing it's less about being mad and more about being shocked that somebody could be so insensitive about something like this. Thread wasn't about if you liked Zaeed or not, it was to pay tribute to his voice actor who just passed away. Have some respect.

He was great. That slide you see in the ending of Zaeed sitting in a lawn chair with his rifle always brought a tear to my eye. Now if I ever finish the game again I might be inconsolable.

In my opinion, Zaeed was a character from a different era and wasn't one I really cared for because of that. However, his voice actor still did a great job. R. I. P.

Using your Avenger would also be a fitting tribute. From the wiki:

Zaeed will recall fond memories of his old assault rifle "Jessie" (an M-8 Avenger assault rifle) if you select it from the table in his room. He reveals an almost unhealthy attraction to the rifle as more and more stories open up throughout the game. In one instance he remarks to Shepard that he would "trade in every weapon in my possession for just one more mission with that ****ty old rifle..." He mentions he retired the rifle 5 years prior to the game, but has never had to re-sight her once. He also mentions that he "cut through a hundred Batarian mooks without ever ejecting a clip". In Mass Effect 3, intel from Liara's console shows that Zaeed recently purchased a variety of items, among them an M-8 Avenger Repair kit, implying that he may be attempting to repair Jessie before the battle for Earth.

I'd just got round to playing the ME3 campaign again and read this last night in the game. I chuckled when I saw the bit about the M-8 Avenger Repair kit. You can also hear his voice on other Bioware games. Tis a sad day. Thanks for the topic.

Except they're not honoring the VA, they're honoring one cookie-cutter side character he voiced. When I die, I sure as hell wouldn't want someone saying "Oh he played ME3, we should all play ME3 to honor him" because playing ME3 isn't what I want to be remembered for.

And before some people think me queer. Yes, I can be pretty emotional about things I like. And I do really do such things. Zaeed/Robin Sachs was not the first and will not be the last and I would (preemptively) propose that anyone who'd otherwise comment on this behaviour of mine in any disrespectful way stuff his/her snide remarks to where the sun doesn't shine. I've already gotten enough flak from random people on the internet for that particular habit.

You don't have to worry about getting flak from me. There's no wrong way to grieve. Kudos.
