I'd be willing to read it if you're willing to share it.

I suppose you could create a better character than Zaeed Massani!?!?!?

DERP.

I'm actually in the process of doing just that. Several characters, actually.

Anyone can make one just as good. Look at Sasuke from Naruto.

Sasuke: My brother killed my family so I'm going to hunt him down and kill him.

Zaeed: My partner stole my organization so I'm going to hunt him down and kill him.

See what I mean? It's the same cookie-cutter revenge seeker character that has been repeated continuously for years.

But in defense of Sachs, it wasn't him that made the character, it was Bioware.

you just don't ever get it...

each character that a actor/actress makes and lends their voice to that said character is deep, deep belief and it is very deep part of the person much as their own character counterparts. in a sense, Robin Sachs is very much alive as Zaeed Massani. but his body may be forgotten or erased, but the spirit of him will live on forever through his characters.

so speaking from my view, when i play or work with Zaeed, i feel like he's alive and is with me. i can actually interact with Zaeed on his opinions, views etc etc. that's exactly the point  that most of players have that relationship with said characters.

i even like Legion, Liara, Miranda, David, Ashley and rest of the crew because i feel at home with those characters.

So you're saying that because Robin Sachs voiced Zaeed Massani, that he really actually created Blue Suns, was betrayed, shot in the face, and was on a revenge driven hunt for the one who shot him?

I think you need to try to separate the game from reality a bit.

It may be corny, but I'd like to see a Zaeed based operation to honor him.

Operation Jessie

Score X amount of points with the Avenger.

Reward: Big Goddamned Hero title with accompanying Zaeed based banner.

Get it done Bioware. Get. It. Done.

seems little much for a free DLC character that you couldn't even have a relationship with.  i mean, at some point everyone who's been in mass effects is going to die, we have Operations for all them too?  shouldn't we be more selective in who OPs are done for?  what about the chick that voiced the oft used "I will destroy you!" from ME1?  it's possible she's already dead for all we know.

They should do this to make up for the severe lack of Zaeed in the campaign.

Look, I'm sorry...but your response to this thread is kinda uncalled for. I get what you're saying, although I don't necessarily agree with you. But they're trying to raise awareness about his death and honor him in some small way, and your response is to blast one of his characters and antagonize people when they want you to stop? And you're calling them the disrespectful ones?

You quoted Futurama to make the point that everyone's "presuming to know Sachs.". Clearly most people--including me--believe that you're wrong. But even if you're right, and this thread is an insult to his memory, you're the worst offender here.

You're talking about "what you would want when you died," saying YOU definitely wouldn't want to be remembered for ME3, so why would Sachs? You're talking about Sasuke and Naruto and why you think they're uninspired creations, along with Zaeed. You're talking about how you're in the process of writing much better characters.

It's not about you, dude. It's not about KiraTsukasa, how right you are or how much you dislike Zaeed or...whatever. It's about Robin Sachs, the man who died from heart failure on his 62nd birthday. So please do everyone a favor and keep it to yourself.

Condolences for his family and friends on the bioware team. His voice and talent really lent himself to that character, can't really imagine hearing it any other way.

As for the 'other topic'; I wish people would show a little class. Debating the characters value in a post intended for fans to express their appreciation for his work is devoid of courtesy, and is as off topic as it is rude.

I decked out my male human soldier in Zaeed's colors, and now I'm gonna go kill stuff with him 'til I've finished the Avenger challenge again (currently at 0 points, so it'll keep my busy for a few matches, at least)...

Meh. Zaeed was a boring character. If I wanted some guy being a jerk just for revenge, I'd go watch Naruto.

You cold bastard. A talented actor has just passed away, and all you can do is nonchalantly dismiss a character he plays.

Rest in peace, Robin Sach.

You were a talented actor and will be missed.

I admit, I will remember him more for his various roles in Babylon 5 and then Buffy than I will for anything ME related, but that hardly matters.

OMG liek dis if u cry evrytime! ps teh darknes is a metaphor! :(

Why is anyone in here taking a whiney teen who's just trying to be edgy seriously? Please guys, stop responding to him. The Champion of the Light has a lot of growing up to do. As if that wasn't clear enough the moment he said "Mad bro?"

"KiraTsukasa You made me this way. You made me bare my fangs. Now you and all who defend you will suffer my wrath"

Yes, please tell us more about tropes and bad writing.

Somebody make a new thread:

"Memorial MP Service for MisterEFQ. KiraTsukasa poetry killed him."

I've no poetry posted in my profile. :?

No, really, I don't.

It's all posted on allpoetry.com.

Eternally Yours

I said I loved you so,
Before you turned to go.
You said you might be back,
But didn't really know.
The words took me aback,
And made my world black.
Now I feel so alone,
The cold chills me to the bone,
And I cry like I've never known.
I hope that your love endures
Because I'm eternally yours

Please shoot me. Put me out of my misery.

Is this vogon?...... Troll is an oxygen thief and should be eaten. His disrespect to people wanting to aknowledge Mr. Sachs' contribution to the enjoyment of ME and other media is,DISGUSTING. GTFO!

Actors and possibly voice actors usually work to put their essence (not literally) into the characters they play, and while I didn´t know much of Robin Sacsh, I wouldn't be surprised if he did as well. Plenty of people are remembered for what they did. Cervantes is remembered fondly for creating Don Quixote, Schwarzeneger for playing as the Terminator, etc etc. Plenty don't know of Cervantes or Ahnold's personal life, would it be wrong to honor them for the work they did?

When you are immersed into something, you can fantsize about being in such a place, which is why people fascinate with lore and stuff. Sachs contribution with Zaeed is virtually the same. He interpreted a character in a way he can be related/believable to people, withpout necesarily making it real. People are honoring the result of Sachs work. Just that. You might disagree with the methods (which in the end, don't seem to harm/offend anybody, so far), but I would invinte to respect/tolerate the intent.

No, I just said I didn't like a character. And then was attacked for it.

Like that.

I never once said he was a bad voice actor or a bad person. I just didn't like the character. People insisted that was disrespectful to the voice actor.

Then I countered that by telling people they were being disrespectful by presuming to know him based on a single character he played, as you so graciously pointed out.

You really are heartless aren't you? I'm disappointed at his death because I enjoyed his work with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Vampire Circus, Dragon Age, and Mass Effect. Am I stupid for being disappointed about it? Did you get pissed at people for crying when Michael Jackson died? Did you get pissed when metalheads all around got sad when people like Dimebag Darrel, The Rev, Paul Gray, Ronnie James Dio, Pete Steele, and Vitek died? Sure, we didn't know them personally, but are we permitted for feeling upset that someone we respected and enjoyed the work from died? No, we aren't. You sound like a real f*cking ass Kira, and you just need to shut the f*ck up. You have no right to tell anybody how to feel.
