It's actually a good strategy.
There is Relix_28's combo thread that explains most of the ways to set up and detonate combos.
There is also a Wiki article bookmarked for this as well.

Thanks for the link. This is really handy. Did not know that.
I've added it to the weapon section.
I generally don't use that weapon. It seems a bit slower than most weapons.
Then again I was never into the sniper weapon class. The exception was ME 1, because of the incredible map sizes.
If you are into sniper rifles, can't get better than the Javelin.
Widow and Black Widow are both great choices too.

Wow. You have some cool builds.
I just noticed that you have a useful link, regarding the Mass Effect group at the Tamriel Vault.
