Will DA3 allow you to "delete careers"?

You're able to do that in the previous games. I don't see any reason it wouldn't be present in Inquisition, but no details whatsoever about the game have been revealed yet.
Really? How? The only way I've found to delete certain characters have been by manually searching for them in my PS3's saved files. Which takes forever.

Ah, my apologies, I assumed you were playing on PC. I used to play on console though I must be misremembering the deletion process. It does seem unecessarily complicated though (unless it's for some technical reason - I readily admit I'm no expert), so I certainly support a "delete career/character" option for console-users in the future.

Yeah, I'm about as clueless there. It seems odd that the feature isn't on console versions of the games if it is on PC, so perhaps it's technically impossible or too difficult to implement on console? It doesn't hurt to ask, at any rate.

Also, the silly limit of # of characters needs to go some of us share an XBOX with spouses who play the hades of

Is it possible to create new user accounts on the Xbox? That's a method I've used on the PS3 to circumvent the number limit.

It is possible, although some people like to just use the same account to pool acheivements or whatever. Also, IIRC, the DLC is only available to the account that bought it, not the other accounts on the console. (I only have one account, so I don't know.)

In any other game:
open up the load game menu > hover over the character > press "X" to delete > confirm.
That's about 10 seconds, if that.
On Xbox:
"You have too many characters. You must delete one before you can make another." "****" Exit the game> Right Bumper 5-6 times to get to the system tab> hit memory> wait approx 30-90 seconds for the list of devices to load for some unknown reason> choose hard drive> wait another 10 seconds> scroll down to DA2 or DAO> select it> wait another 5 seconds> scroll down to the save files in question> delete them one at a time (I usually wind up with 8-12 per character)> exit and return to the dashboard> wait another 5 seconds for it to load> Scroll back over to Home> restart the game, which takes about 30 seconds or so too.
Altogether we're talking at least three minutes to do something that should take 10 seconds. I know of no other game that makes you do this. Every other game I have played on Xbox has deleting of saves from within it. It is a pain in the ass and there is no excuse.

I think I've been able to access DLC on multiple accounts. I'm not sure, though.
For me, the problem was that I couldn't play through Awakening and Witch Hunt with all the characters I created on one account as you can't transfer characters to new accounts.

If this topic has been posted before, I apologize - I can't seem to find it anywhere. Anyway, I'm someone who likes to make many new saves for each character I create, and since I tend to create a lot of characters, it makes the process of deleting characters I don't want to keep playing rather time consuming and complicated since I have to manually search for each individual save for that character. The Mass Effect series had a neat feature where you could simply delete entire characters from the list of careers you want to load. I wondered if something similar could be made possible for Dragon Age 3?
I play Dragon Age on the XBox, so I relegate careers that I'm not using to USB sticks or Cloud storage to save on slots. I'm not sure if Origin has such a thing for PC, but it's something BioWare should consider (Cloud storage, not giving away USB sticks) so that people who want to put characters on the backburner for future playthroughs can.

Yes, but like I said, it's a very time consuming and complicated process. On one account I have about 170 save files for DA2. In order to delete one or two characters I have to scroll through every one of these save files in order to find and delete all the saves for that character. And if I enter the game and find that the character I deleted still exists, I have to exit the game and scroll through the save files again in order to find the ones I missed.
So, if I didn't have to do this I'd very much appreciate it. That's why I'm asking if a "delete career" option would be possible to implement for console versions of the game too.

I don't know how Xbox works, but at least on PS3 the DLC is available on all accounts. It's true that the achievements remain on one account and that you can't import characters from a different account, however.

The "bring up career > press X to delete character > confirm" system from the Mass Effect games was so much nicer.

It's so much easier - and quicker - to do this in-game like you can in ME.

Some people already use the cloud storage for backup though....

I'm certain some Xbox games' DLC is account specific, but I've never tried it with Dragon Age so I'm not sure.
Another reason using another account is insufficient: Sometimes it's fun to party chat with my friends while playing DA, and you can't do that on another account.
Honestly, since this DA game will be on a new engine, the devs will have to rework all the interface elements again anyway. They've heard our complaints, and I have the feeling we'll get confirmation of a save deleting feature soon after they start releasing details and answering questions.
