I don't know how Xbox works, but at least on PS3 the DLC is available on all accounts. It's true that the achievements remain on one account and that you can't import characters from a different account, however.

I'm certain some Xbox games' DLC is account specific, but I've never tried it with Dragon Age so I'm not sure.

Afaik all Xbox DLC works the same way. When you buy a DLC or pretty much any content on Xbox Live, you will also get two licenses. One license is bound to the console the content was bought on, while the other license is bound to the gamertag that performed the purchase. As long as you fulfill either license (or both), you can use the content. Therefore you can access the DLC in three ways,

- Log on to your gamertag on another xbox (requires an internet connection or the gamertag won't authenticate, downloading the DLC or accessing DLC already on the harddrive is possible)
- Log on with another gamertag on your own xbox (no internet connection required, but the content must be on the harddrive already - this gamertag will be unable to initiate a download)
- Log on to your gamertag on your own xbox (everything works without question, online or offline alike)

Thanks for the correction, Kidd.

I think I know how I made the mistake.  I was thinking of an incident where I couldn't use DLC on a different account in the past, but it turned out that I hadn't reauthenticated everything when I transfered Xboxes.  That's probably what I was thinking of.

Honestly, since this DA game will be on a new engine, the devs will have to rework all the interface elements again anyway.  They've heard our complaints, and I have the feeling we'll get confirmation of a save deleting feature soon after they start releasing details and answering questions.

Well, I certainly hope you're right. The current method of deleting save files is only slightly more fun that eating my own toenails.

ME and DA:O DLC require me to have hubby signed in as "Player 2" when I play unless I was logged in when he bought it.

That's another annoying issue: playing Bioware games on Xbox has become a huge annoying chore since if you have any sort of DLC you seem to have to be connected to the internet and logged in to play.

I thought the whole point of playing on a console instead of a PC was that you can just pop the disk in and start playing, and waiting four minutes for the game to finish it's handshake with EA servers (or not being able to play at all when my dodgy internet service flakes out,) kind of defeats the purpose of that. Do miss the old days of console plug-and-play.

That's a glitch IIRC.  I can play DAO and DA2 DLC fine without the internet working.  I believe there is a way to fix it but I'm not certain what it is.  You might want to check the support forums.
