Maybe my friends are just idiots. There is no maybe about it really, I'm just being nice (they and I are idiots). My friend found a picture of a female Qunari, and it kinda looks like a Draenei female without a tail. Don't get me wrong, its cool enough for me to want to play one as a character race. I am merely wondering if anyone else has seen these pictures? I can't find them on the net, I was just shown the picture during our weekly table top D&D game.

There are only two official pictures of a female Qunari that I know of, one from a comic and one from a lineup of what the races were supposed to look like in DA2. I'll go find 'em real quick...

To me, they just look like the feminine version of what you would expect from what the males look like. The only thing they have in common with Draenei are the horns, and they don't even have to have them. If you were going to compare them to anything, it should be humans, since all they really are are taller, more muscular, grey skinned humans with horns(or not).

I'm sure female Qunari have the same variation in horn size and styles that males do. I wonder if a woman with exceptionally large horns like the Arishok had is considered attractive or unattractive...

You will not get to play a qunari, male or female, because you will be restricted to playing as a human (at least for DA3).

I was hoping for something less "cliche".

(And DG has said he will never write a LI to appease anyone's sexual fetish, and this statement was made IN the qunari LI thread TO qunari LI fans.) And I was pointing out that the creepy people making sexual comments about the qunari women in this thread are not helping matters.

No offense,but thinking Kossiths are hot isn't much different from being attracted to humans or elves.

Exactly, just like that "I want a female qunari in my bed" thread that just got locked. And it kind of irks me a bit when their(the Dev's) first reaction was to assume a fetish, they didn't jump into any of the dwarf/sigrun LI threads and accuse them of having a short, stout person fetish. A female qunari/tal vashoth companion/LI has some great story opportunities if written right. But it is kind of hard to convince them of that when we do get the creepy posts.

I was just saying that it's surely not the only reason (difficult lorewise, etc ...), because there will always be creepy people or more tactfully people with other interest and it's only human...

Unless I misunderstood him, he wasn't saying that he'd avoid writing an LI that pleased someone's sexual fetishes (that would be impossible).  He just said that he wouldn't write an LI with the sole purpose of catering to some people's fetishes.  We could theoretically still have such an LI if Gaider found other reasons why she'd make a good character.  It seems highly unlikely in this Dragon Age game though.

I just wish people would stop making juvenile sexual comments about potential LIs in these threads. I mean I'm a straight woman, and I would love to romance a female qunari (a woman of the Qun or otherwise), and I'd probably do it with a female PC, too.

I would also (and have wanted to, for a long time) romance a male qunari. And sure, I think they are pretty hot, but I don't lie around fantasizing about boning them. My two canon LI from both DA games are not even the guys I was actually attracted to.

I was hoping they would be indistinguoshable from the males.
Instead it was the same old smaller, and fairer.
But I suppose it's cliche for a reason.
