You made 5 claims in that post, and I was trying to say that I agreed with 4 of them. I wasn't trying to skew your meaning. I probably should have left the quote alone and then written "Except for the 'hornet is bad' part, I agree with all of this."

Well my apologies, but it is very hard to discern jokes in a serious discussion when there's nothing in any of the posts to indicate tone.
Also I wasn't trying to start a console war, all I'm saying is coming from someone who has played many shooters on both consoles and PC, it's harder to compensate for recoil with dual analogs than it is with a mouse. That's all.

Guns do not exist independently of each other in this game. It doesn't matter how good the gun is, if it's on the lower end of effectiveness compared to the alternatives then it's bad. No ifs, no buts.

And you can score absurdly high without firing a single shot, you do realize?

It's relatively polite. 

And it can be bad, because it was not the gun that made me score that high. Rather it was my excellence. And yes, I am bragging. 

It's objectively bad because other options in this game make it utterly redundant. The fact that it "works fine" or whatever does not change the fact that nearly every other gun in the game is better. It is far below average whichever way you look at it. In this context, that is synonymous with being bad.

No, it's not relatively polite.
And if each gun was considered objectively bad because certain other guns are overall better, there would be exactly 5 weapons in this game that weren't considered useless, and that's only if the guns are only compared to other guns in the same category. If that is ignored, there would be only 1 gun left. Probably the Talon.

Fair point.
However, the Hornet is still among the better SMGs given some of the garbage that's in that category.

I have never been able to make the hornet work for me. then again I dont know how to play the fury or nova cancel so that could be the scrub in me.

the only times i ever enjoyed it was with QME with incendiary ammo, and thats because i wasnt really using it...i was spamming grenades and FE's.  i think it took me 4 gold games to get the 200k, maybe more..
 but by conceding this i admit i am a scrub, i dont even have it at X, and i used it with assault rifle amps and the adaptive war amp.
both sides covered, amidoingitright?

I don't get why all the AR's (true AR's that is) and SMG's need to suck. Where is the love for rapid fire guns?

for me hornet is with CSG right behind hurricane which is the best SMG in my opinion
I use it from time to time (not on TSol) it could use a damage boost but other than that it's fine on bronze and silver
