Did they just patch the Missile Glitch back in the with Acolyte charge change?

Playing on Xbox, I just happened into an in progress Platinum game on wave 6 on Glacier. There was a guy with 200k points while the other two were on 8k or so. The killfeed was filled with Missile Launcher kills by this guy.

I noticed he was the classic Destroyer with a Striker when I got dropped and spectated, but I didn't notice his sidearm.

I haven't seen the glitch in the last few day since the patch. Shortly after they revert the Acolyte to charge again, the glitch appears. Did they only fix the glitch for the quickfire Acolyte, not the charged one? I've since seen someone queuing with a Striker/Geth Plasma shotgun combo on a Destroyer, but we kicked him from the lobby so I don't know if that works too or it's confined to the Acolyte, as I suspect it may be.

Has anyone seen the glitch in the past few days after the patch? Has anyone else experienced it since today's change, and did you notice what they were using? Did you goof Bioware?

I can only hope the resurgence of the missile glitch heralds the return of the nocharge Acolyte.

The patch didn't fully stop the exploit!

I found him doing that the day after the patch (not exclusive to acolyte) and I quit after spamming flamer on him during Wave 2

I tried reporting him but couldn't but got someone else to.

Is it at least limited to the host?

Can't believe they didn't just impose a missile count limit in the patch as a failsafe.  Bioware!!!

Apparently the ability to glitch it must just be too deeply embedded in the code to do anything about without a re-write. I suspect it'll never really be fixed unless they remove it and re-code it (or take my suggestion and make it hitscan).

I never really used the chakram launcher in sp, but I thought I remembered it being a charge-up weapon. point being, I figured the patch fixed missle glitching in order to add the chakram launcher to mp... but if it can still be done with any charge up weapon, I don't really see the point of the patch...

Doubt it. The reason they changed it back to being a charge weapon the first time is because it didn't curtail missile glitching

You'd need the Striker to do the glitch, which would take the AR spot away from the Chakram.

Checking around other sites, it appears that the same exact method still works... WTF, Bioware?

The land where people instead hack the game files because missle glitching is to inefficent
