Did they just patch the Missile Glitch back in the with Acolyte charge change?

I know how you feel, and often wonder where all the Xbox Missile glitchers are... 2300 games and only ever seen two, maybe I'm just lucky?

And hopefully it isn't back, however wouldn't surprise me in the least if it was.

At certain times of day if you queue for Platinum you'l get nothing but glitch matches and Rio/Reapers.


I've pugged Gold a decent bit (Varies times of the day, depending on work schedule) and very rarely PuG Plat because of the Rio-crase at the moment.. But (Including people asking if we wanted to do it) the three I've found we're all in Silver lobbies. 
Also: Shouldn't it be common sense to not pug Plat games? :blink:


There's almost always decent people playing, it's just finding them.

No focus on balance issues, bugfixes, and really only the collector burst resistance fixed?

I kind of figured this was coming, which is why I started a certain thread, but... Jeez.

Not tons, just somewhat. They still do OMGWTF damage and have way too much health for several units.

They should have put a cap on missiles per player per game ie after 13 are fired you get autokicked and auto reported.  I dont understand why they havent put a splash screen like they do for challenges so the people actually know its cheating

I'm the one that came up with the idea in the first place...and was the first mentioner to this solution, it prob take time to edit within our code to do that atm but we'll see if BW will do it or not

I would perfer a auto kick upon the 14th missile use of said player...they don't deserve credits if they cheat

This is really disappointing... it's almost like they didn't actually know how the missile glitch worked and patched some unpopular variant. I won't get mad at anyone, but this is just really disappointing and kind of depressing.

JFC Biower, don't you want to earn our future business at all? You are embarrassing yourselves every time you "fix" the glitch and then it can be done again... the EXACT SAME WAY?

If there were time and creativity involved, a new method, a different way to achieve it, I would understand and just say, "well, cheaters gonna cheat, bastards."

As it stands, you guys just wasted $40k on a patch that not only didn't fix anything we care about, it didn't even come close to fixing what you cared to fix! This is the pinnacle of ineptitude, and I for one have seen enough. As dedicated as a few devs are to winning a losing fight, I say BroJo jump and swim hard and fast, and don't look back.

As to making a limit to the number of rockets fired, Bioware has commented on this before. They said that it's not a good way to take care of the situation. If you have the max number of rockets, plus the rocket gear, and you use all of them (or most), then the host leaves, you then have more rockets to use.

They would have to change a bunch of code in order for that idea to work... Basically all I'm trying to say is that it's more complicated than that.

Indeed. @ dcreally i havent seen the glitch happen, but went in to a lobby where one of the players had a very suggestive loadout (graal + striker). I kinda guessed what was going to happen, and therefore I left.

Why dont they simply lock the striker, make acolyte noncharging and be done with it?
