Did they just patch the Missile Glitch back in the with Acolyte charge change?

That wouldn't fix it... They can do the glitch with any explosive projectile weapon, like the falcon, scorpion, ect.

While I support an idea that will work to curb the missile glitch the solution isn't as simple as putting a cap on the number of missiles fired. The glitch does not allow you to fire a lot of missiles it just registers all damage done to an enemy as coming from a missile, there is a distinction between the two. And t
this is where one of the problems lies

Remove all charge weapons. Give them the acolyte treatment. Most seem to prefer it this way anyway. Although I think the arc pistol might be the best weapon ever if they did this

No, the answer isn't working around the problem... The answer is fixing the problem.

The charge up weapons add a bit a variety so that everything isn't plain vanilla.  It adds a bit of strategy and dexterity to the guns.

Removing that just because Bioware can't program for sh!# isn't fixing a problem, it's just dumbing down a game to show a lack of programming knowledge.

They fixed most of the weapons, and come Tuesday, the Acolyte will be reverted to a non-charge weapon again, blocking the RG.

or remove all explosive weapons, buff their single projedtile damage or give them  a more buckshot approach, assault shotgun instead of assault rifles,  shotty sniper and simply put another talon.

OT, I rarely ever see missle glitchers on the PS3. Everyone in the pugs are good about kicking them too.

How DARE BioWare allow a bunch of children among thousands and thousands of players within this voluntary community to try to find a way to break the rules and bend the system so they can max out their manifests faster!"
Yes. Because it's obviously BioWare's fault that people want to cheat.

On another note, I haven't played much since the patch, so I haven't seen it since, but before the patch I'd probably seen about 4 or 5 missile glitchers total. If I ever did see it, it was on either Rio/Platinum or FBW/Platinum. I still avoid Platinum PUG's because of this. If I see one I'll definitely be reporting it - children like this ruin the game, honestly.

I tried reporting him but couldn't but got someone else to.

No.  It has nothing to do with the acolyte.  The chargeless acolyte did not deter the missile glitchers

There are only a few threads a month made about PC players editing their files to cheat. There are multiple threads about missile glitching on XBox every day.

One is a problem, the other isn't.


Missile glitching CAN'T be done by the host (AFAIK) so by definition a missile glitcher will be in a game with other people, people who can possibly report him.

A PC player can edit his files and do solo matches.

It's still here!? Goddamnit. The code causing it must have been an intrinsic of ME2's heavy weapons system, only coming to light now due to the fact that there's no latency in a single player game, combined with the fact that projectile weapons that weren't heavy just weren't in 2.

So, to fix it - BioWare would need to go back to their prototype concept of Cobras being pick-up-and-drop rewards for completing objective waves. No, seriously, check the prototype leak videos if they're still swirling around YouTube somewhere.

How about remove the damn missile launcher from the game? Disable the Missile Launcher, disable missile launcher damage - problem solved. Then tone down the boss enemies some to compensate.

It's still way harder to do now which will curb it away from lesser tier cheaters

next sure a missile cap of 13 would be fine with a auto kick past it and maybe even a auto report

second missiles have a auto kill 2 meters of it's center in frame of that maybe.. missiles real nature should be revealed of their (meters) and habits...I think they reach out to 7.5 meters if I was told by somebody right

...again asking too much the CAP Idea isn't any more much diffrent from the kick timer of 2 mins deal sintead of contant counting to 2 mins...it counts each missile use

then the only way to abuse it even further if they are MGing is if they are permited to rejoin a game again

in terms they have to work extremly harder

sometimes the unfixable glitches need a work around atm what the patch did was a "work around" making it harder which I don't mind...but atm a cap kicker upon the 14th missile (this info should not be TOLD to the public, this woudl result auto kick from the game, in the format this will cause MGers to have issues and work harder to do their trade... which in human nature to work harder at something already pretty easy to fumble up is not fully worth it, curbing down cheaters to a extent further, dureing the frame work of this if they wish to include a "auto mark for rule breaking" go right on ahead as it marks more player basis doing a cheat that will inevitably probably get them banned as hard proof exists of this "cheat"

Yeah I want this too

I'm not taking full word on it and diving in like a nut on this

but I still think a missile cap should be implimented with a kick from game and "report ticker"

Has there ever been a system of anything anywhere that was not, eventually, exploited by a cheater? Cheaters happen. A good system can only minimize cheating.

Put a bounty on the heads of cheaters; give out X BW points to confirmed reporting. Crowd-source your scalping, BW. Problem solved (as much as it can be).

Cheaters on PC don't need to missle glitch...Why bother when you can edit the .ini files and get as much credits as you want and just buy all the weapons at once... Still it is far less problematic for legit PC players and they still can't shoot straight from their shinning new Harrier X

i seen some old videos that had diffrent ways on how to do a missile glitch before the patch, i'll look up if here are some new videos on new missile glitch on youtube.
