Why aren't the mods I downloaded working?

If this is in the wrong section, then sorry, but I wasn't sure where to put this.

I recently started the downloading of mods (since I have absolutely zero skill in making them myself), and eventaully came across what I thought might be a holy grail for me... new hairstyles (yes, i know...dumb). I went through the motions and put them in the override folder, but when I checked, they weren't in the game. I checked the directions the creator provided and  made sure I did it right, then I installed it through DAmod, and it said it was successfully installed, so I checked.. not there. the creator page is here, and they came as ZIP files, not as DAZIPS

I scoured through the comments on the page and the creators page, but everyone else seems to be doing swell. I also tried to look for them in the toolset, but since to me at least that toolset is effing confusing, it was to no alas.

I might just be an idiot and I'm not looking in the right place, and I just might win n00b of the year award for this, but this is really frustrating me. So until I learn the ways of the toolset, I'm stuck being the idiot.

Any help is appreciated.

If they came as .dazips, try using daupdater:

1. Go to your Dragon Age install folder.

2. Go into the bin_ship directory

3. Open daupdater.exe

4. Click "Select DAZIPs"

5. Browse to *.dazip (whatever it's called, wherever you downloaded it) and click Open

6. Click on *.dazip in the Content Updater window.

7. Click "Install Selected"

8. Let it do its thing, then go into Dragon Age and have fun

I can't guarantee that will work, but that's the intended method, so you can fairly complain if it doesn't ^_^
