Platnium Gameplay. Kicking is lame and has plat always been slow paced?

I think I've tried Plat twice. That's about it. I don't really care for the difficulty. I like the normal mooks too much!

Plenty of rare weapons are plat viable, and they are not that hard to unlock from regular gold clears. If you aren't clearing gold that hard and fast, why are you in plat?

(PS- I play a lot of power classes in plat, very regularly).

Rare shotguns, yes...rare anything else, not so much.

I'd add Collector Sniper Rifle and Widow.... but yeah... it's a pretty short list.

Here's a list of rare guns I'd be happy to see on Plat (depending on kit of course):

Kishock
Widow
CSR
Claymore
Reegar
Raider
Piranha
Acolyte
GPS

Revenant/Graal if I'm feeling generous. That's quite a few of them.

You just proved my point...out of 9 weapons you listed, 5 of them are shotguns.

^ I wouldnt mind seeing a revenant with warp ammo on a turian sentinel either. sometimes it's just nice to hear a constant stream of bullets rattling away behind you

So? The Reegar, the Claymore and GPS are all very different types of shotguns suiting different playstyles.

Some rare ARs need a buff (Revenant, I'm looking at you).

I used the Revenant earlier today during the RNG game... it's pretty terribad. Trying to hit an assault trooper at 25 meters is quite the chore.

The safest place you can be from the Revenant is right in the middle of the crosshairs...

^ Don't forget it slows your movement speed while firing like a s.o.b too...
i feel like i have devastator mode on a drell

i hadnt used it in awhile, when i used it the other day i had completely forgotten, it kinda intrigued me as to why, because there's only a few guns that do that.

Okay, Heri said and i quote

N7 rating is quite possibly the dumbest metric of player skill ever
invented in the history of gaming, and using it as a criterion for
booting someone is the height of stupidity.

I refuse to be part of this system and that's why since the start, i never have and probably never will promote any character. It's a plain waste of time. Also, using a rail 1 amp is not a bad sign with power based class, which is what i play mostly on gold anyways. I just hope one day people will stop judging others based on N7 Level which is why i keep mine low.

Regarding points, I play mostly off-host as my internet would be intorelable for other people to play if i act as one. If i could ping to your server, it would likely be +1000. From my experience, my scores are boosted signifiantly on-host as running around finding and exploding enemies take ALOT less effort compared to off-host. Access to more enemies, instant biotic combo, etc. So unless other players nuke spawn points while I'm off host, I won't. This condition sucks worse than it sounds, especially on open area maps. 120k off-host was rather a stretch for me. i've been in matches people hoarding over 180k on gold while I'm at 30k, which is why i said you're just taking from your teammates. There's a limit to points you can score as you max out the waves budgets, if you're not doing it, someone else will get the score, so...

Dont mean to be a dick OP, but most likely I'd kick you from a gold game depending how the night is going. Also I'd like issue an apology from the PS3 community for letting OP out of his cage, we will strive to do better next time.

you missed his thoroughly explained point: there are no "power classes" on platinum, DPS or gtfo.

That's just ignorant.
You should have said:
I'm gonna be a dick here, OP and kick you from my gold game because i don't know, my night is just ****ty.
Don't apologize on my behalf, I don't belong to your community.

I understood his point and i was speaking that i use power class strictly for gold games. He was also talking about averaging scores on gold before you could move on to plat.

The point is that anyone who's playing a weapon-based class and doesn't want to use a shotgun (either because of playstyle or class synergy) is SOL because for the other weapon categories, URs are far and away the best choices.

I agree with the N7 ≠ Skill but anyone under N7 120 is getting a kick in a gold lobby for me.

If you're under N7 120 then that means you have not played every class and also means that you're relativley new to the game which then means you're most likely not very good. So OP for the last time stop crying about 'this person isn't good enough because he can't carry 3 horrible players in plat'

Please for the good of everyone, including yourself go back to silver until you get better at this game.

Seriously you need to stop shooting yourself in the foot so much in this thread

First you say you got back at people for switching to bronze instead of kicking you by holding on to the package until they failed. When called out on this, you said no one was taking it seriously

Next you answered the dps question with the fury but quickly changed tack when pointed out its main damage potential comes from BEs. So now its an infiltrator that is your solution to dps, not the fury

Then you say you can score plenty but its due to lag that you hit 120k. Yet you do not consider the fact that in a plat game, your lag doesn't magically disappear. So somehow you're more than capable of doing your share in any plat game despite the lag being the same

Then theres the entire averaging 60-70k on UUG that you yourself said. Remember this 4 days ago?

After 5, 6 failed extraction attempts, i was finally teamed up with a decent group, U/U/Gold, we got Firebase Condor, Protheans.

Being a N7 Lvl56, I recieved less kicks on Gold maps compared to the time I'm a N7 Lvl20. Topping the leaderboard is someone ranking 25000 ish. Meh, I like to keep it on the down low. Also on Gold games, I know I'm fcked when my team mates are below or on par with me regarding scores. I'm usually avering about 60-70k, but if the team pulls about 260k prior to the extraction bonus in total, we'd pull through.

Thanks bro... I feel the brick wall keep beating my brains out... or maybe I keep headbutting it... I can't tell anymore.

I'll try to help people... but you know what they say about leading a horse to water...

It's amazing how many new players think they're Bill Badass at this game and know everything. Between 3 accounts I'm close to 2000 hours in this game, and I'm still learning things about it EVERYDAY! I just learned from tyhw that rank 5 headshot bonuses in everyone's passives apply to bosses (after the devs said it was a flat 40% regardless).

The fact that there is SO much to learn is one of the things that keeps me coming back...

Well, shotguns are fine. SRs are fine (CSR/Widow/Kishock). Pistols and SMGs...yeah, underwhelming, I'll grant you, but what weapon-based class wants them anyway? Leaving ARs, which are pretty universally acknowledged as being poor at rare level.

So yeah we agree, but that really doesn't stop someone from taking a gold shotty or SR to Plat. There's something for all playstyles and kit synergies.

Not sure if Op trollin..
On serious note:
Boy no1 started at Gold/Plat games. Also gettin at n7 120 means that you play whit every class at least once (6x20= 120 it's simple) so you'll need to learn how every class is played. Special if you (or anybody else) are not played single-player of Me. Also you dont have GEAR- you dont have maxed rares, you dont have amp and gear. You'll receive X vote for almost every game- gold or platinum.
Also top-scored one game of gold is nothin- I also top scored whit my bat sentinel once when my sentinels were at lvl 16,but did i speak of it at every my post ? NO. I just continue playing game and improved. Learn how to play whit all classes- learn how or when to use ALL abilities- how to make BE/FE/CE/TB.
And to tell everybody that some1 learn faster than others is like to say "Hey you're all stupid, whit slow reflexes, that dont know how to play."
Saing Plat is not challenge (oh you even dont write it right) whitout any extraction on plat...
GB2B. (whit you're gear/equipment this is the best).

Would a N7 Level 60 with atleast 6 runs through each sp campaign of both me2 and me3 count towards relatively new to the game? Oh the N7 indication doesn't have that does it? Stop relying on this system.

If you have the AP rounds try it with either one of the scopes and the damage barrel it still takes all day to turn it but the range is greatly increased.

I like the part where you read the part where I said N7 ≠ Skill.

However N7 <120 means the player is new to the game and therefore lacks the knowledge of game mechanics.
