Miranda on the Normandy would have been nice, she could have set the record straight with the VS regarding Shepard and Cerberus.

Shepard shooting Ashley on the coup does that just fine.

I still would have loved to see her get shot down over Cerberus, and seeing that Shepard is no longer open territory because he's with Miranda.

I'm curious, why did you romance Ash in ME1 if you hate her so much?........It doesn't make a lick of sense...

@Nightwriter:
Thanks for the appreciation. I swear there's no story, in a game, book, film or any other medium, where I made so many adaptations, additions and changes in my mind as I did for ME3's (including the end of ME2).

@StayFrosty:
It isn't exactly easy to avoid Ashley's romance in ME1. Also, you may play the game as if your Shepard was attracted to Ashley before certain character traits became apparent.

That didn't stop Tali/Garrus from getting content.

Well, the problem with the VS stems from ME2 not ME1, at least for me. I don't hate either though, it's just that the encounter you have with the VS on Horizon was poorly handled by the writers. Then after you get the letter from Ash apologizing for her overreaction we're back in ME3 with the I-don't-trust-you-anymore-because-you-were-with-Cerberus attitude. In Ash's case it's made worse by the fact that you have very little dialogue with her onboard the SR2.

I can understand that Odan....I have seen the interaction and the letters...youtube....I am more curious as to if it irks people so much, why not just replay ME1 and change the decision?....I have replayed ME1 to change decisions, try new RP's, etc...many reasons.

Well, for one, you're going to meet her or Kaidan regardless and their attitude towards you will be largely the same. So, unless there's a way to kill them both in ME1 they'll appear anyway on Horizon.

Fiendishchicken makes it pretty clear his Shep romanced Ash in ME1, that was the reason behind my question....why romance her if he hates her so much.

As for who we hate/dislike/like/love among the squads, no one is going to be happy 100% of the time....one man's dream is another man's nightmare as such....BW has to provide a squad and can't pander to everyone's taste, they over do it in some circumstances such as the Liara overdose...but otherwise we all have our own preferences. Personally, yes, I actually like ME3 Ash, didn't like the ME1 Ash or the Horizon incident, but am quite fond of her in ME3.

Because involving the former Cerberus Second in Command in the Cerberus "arc" (lolindoctrinated isnt much of an arc) is called for. Not re-hashing her ME2 plot.

Cerberus plays a substantial role in ME3, and Miranda would've fit right in. There's no safer place than the Normandy, and of all the squadmates from ME2, I think Miranda's return as squadmate would make the most sense.

Perhaps Fiendishchicken did like her in ME1?

It's true that no matter what squad Bioware had put together someone would've been unhappy about it, as we can see on the boards. What would've been great, though, is if Shepard had been able to choose the members of his team, but that would've required that every possible combination be accounted for (probably a nightmare).

She belongs on the Normandy in HER office. I would've sent smurfette to Hackett

She is very good in combat with powers that effect all enemies.

As others have stated, Cerberus plays a big role in the game and Miranda fits in perfectly.

My femshep and Miranda are good friends.

Cause in terms if pure character arcs I looked forward to the one between the VS and Miranda the most. Then all I got was a few side comments once we started Sanctuary.

I didn't even romance her and I felt she was horribly underused and that we missed a great chance to have an on-board rivalry between her and the VS.

Edit.
Especially with the whole VS mistrust issue that got brought up again in ME3. It would have at least added an extra dynamic to it, instead of just having to wait until its over or we get annoyed and shoot them.

Oh it would have been absolutely fantastic if we could have built our own squads....but you are right, the logistics dealing with combinations would be a nightmare and most likely impossible....:(

Apart from the more rational reasons why Miranda should be on Cronos or the Normandy, while have all been mentioned, I admit that I was taken aback when I found Liara in Miranda's office. It didn't help that Liara also usurped Miranda's badassery, leaving her a shadow of her former self of whom we only see the weak moments.

I wish I could make Shepard say "Where the hell is my team, and my crew?", for that feeling is still very much present even after several replays.

And LOL for "smurfette", and for Steelcan's spell checking.

How is this a question? It's like asking "why should Mordin and Wrex be on Tuchanka?" or "why should Tali and Legio be on Rannoch'"
I'd think it self-explanatory, no?

Pertaining to which question...:

Normandy?
Cronos?
Cerberus take over?
Shadowbroker?

All of them except the Shadow Broker, of course.

If Cerberus must have an antagonistic arc in ME3, let's at least do it right. Tie all the missions involving them together by more than simply the typo of enemy you fight; place Miranda and Jack on the Normandy so both can present a different side of the issue like Wrex/Mordin and Tali/Legion do for their respective arcs and then give multiple options on how to solve it ranging from Shepard destroys Cronos on advice from Jack; Miranda takes over Cronos and the remains of Cerberus; Miranda AND Shepard take over Cronos and the remains of Cerberus.

Miranda not being on Cronos Station was a crime against her character (EDI could replace her if she died in ME2)

ShadowBroker/Cerberus take over - no
Liara is the Shadow Broker and her knowledge about the protheans was essential. Cerberus is destroyed and utterly discredited

Every former squadmate should be available for the final battle in London.

I have seen people repeatedly saying Miranda should be on the ME3 Normandy...

....or Miranda should be a squaddie on Cronos...

....or Miranda should takes tIM's place...

....or Miranda should be the SB...

....and these people seem to feel this is beyond "Because she's my favorite character or LI"....and I am beginning to wonder what the reasoning is behind these views...please explain?

Because she's awesome and has boobs. I thought it was pretty self explanatory.

Not impossible with one more year to finish the game. They could have included at least all the LI.

I would much prefer an Alliance vs Cerberus angle over choices between Miranda and Jack....Jack is pretty cool in ME3, but I wouldn't consider her the most stable of choices...:P...My Shep is certainly very happy to destroy Cronos, but I somehow don't think he would make that decision based on Jacks recommendation.......his an Alliance man through and through, never accepted Cerberus nor his Cerberus crew squad members (Miranda and Jacob)....I can see some interesing story concepts in your idea, but not Jack as the Miranda opposite, best off and Alliance confidente.
