Hi all,
First time poster!!!
WITHOUT REVEALING ANYTHING ABOUT MASS EFFECT 2...
So I beat Mass Effect 1, and am replaying it the way I want to transfer it into ME 2. Basically is there anything I should know about ME 2 before playing it that would make it easier/more fun/not missing out on anything. Please bear in mind I don't want anything ruined, but would also like to know if there's some information that you guys wish you would have had before you started playing it the first time through.
I can't really give an example without spoiling some of ME 1, but if you need more clarification please send me a private message as to what Im looking for if the above isnt clear.
Thanks,
Carl

Hi Carl , I noticed you haven't registered any ME games, you should do that before anything else because you get free Downloadable Contents for your games. Ok now that aside , let me just say that one of the most important things to know about ME2 without revealing any spoilers , of which i wish i was aware myself the first time before i played it is the order you do things.
And by that i mean , there are some things in ME1 that influence ME2 and ME3 alike.
Not just influencing but also expanding. Here's an example:
Example : There is a mission in ME1 on Noveria which tells you that in order to advance the main plot on that planet you have to get a Pass that will give you access to the docks. Now you can get that Pass in several ways. Some being , help the bad guy and he will help u , or help the good guy catch the bad guy in his game , or help a not so good guy by taking down the bad guy , or simply do a good deed worthy of a spectre that will earn you that Pass.
No matter how u go about this , you will advance in ME1 BUT... your actions have repercussions in ME3 and 3 as well so .. if you take the right step in ME1 and play that card right , you advance your game's main plot but also , by loading your savegame at the end of ME1 into ME2 , you gain extra dialogues , meeting an old character from ME1 and a few quests that will make ME2 look like an entire different game otherwise, if you hadn't done it the right way.
Normally , there is nothing happening in ME2 in that area of the game , but , there are more than quite a few things that you can do in ME1 to make your ME2 longer by several hours and richer in terms of storyline and gameplay.
Personally , i have played ME games hundreds of times myself and i took every step to make sure that by doing the right thing in my current game will therefore make the next game always richer and more fun.
If there's anything you want to know , or if you just need some help i would gladly be there to help you.
Message me here on the forums if u got any questions and i will reply as soon as im available.

This is spoilerish, but something I wish I knew:
When you reach level 20, it will unlock a mission on Earth's moon (Luna). After reaching level 20, the next time you are on the Normandy, access the Galaxy Map and navigate to a system you have already visited (the Citadel is your best choice). Admiral Hackett will then inform you of the mission.
Complete this mission as soon as possible since it will unlock your class specialization: an extra six points for your class passive and improvements to two of your powers. You have a choice between two class specializations.
Other than that, I liked going in blind. Maybe the only other thing I would have liked to have known was that it would be a good investment to spend some points on Charm and/or Intimidate options early. You have a maximum of 12 Charm and Intimidate points. You gain one free Charm and Intimidate point for becoming a Spectre and you can gain up to three free Charm or Intimidate points as you fill your Renegade and Paragon bars (10%, 25%, and 75% I believe I just read somewhere. Credit to The Grey Ranger for that information I think).

That's what I wanted, ZuZu. You would probably have to private message me to avoid any ME1 spoilers, but I want to know what decisions to make in ME 1 that will unlock the most missions/dialogue in ME 2. Again not the things that will be different ie. renegade vs. paragon, but just what choices to make like in ME 1 choose A or B. If you choose A then you unlock a ME 2 side mission, but if you choose B it doesn't add anything in ME 2. I would want you to tell me to choose A but don't tell me why to choose A.
