OK, I'm aware this topic has been asked before (so forgive me) but in regards to romancing her you cannot be in any current relationship, but does that count your love interest in ME1 too?

No it doesn't as i had a female Shepard import into ME2 with Liara as the love interest from ME. My Female Shepard rekindled the relationship with Liara in LoTSB and still had a fling with Kelly Chambers. I did get a bored on that play of ME2.

I would presume its the same with male Shepard, but i don't know as i normally play as Female Shepard.
