(1)[/b] BioWare already told many times the DLC will not change the ending.

. Like how the Prothean squadmate was just rumor?

Or how EC wouldn't give any new endings?

Or how Casey said that he would never place part of the lore into the DLC ? :wizard:

I appreciate your optimism, 4string. Even I have some high hopes. However, the history of the "new regime" of BW tells us that it is not so. I'd LOVE to eat my words though. This is going to be like last spring all over again.

EC doesn't have any new ending. Refusal is just a fix for eternal wandering around the room in case if player just wants to surrender and get the ultimate mission failure.

That is the weakest excuse I have ever heard

BioWare's track record on forthrightness and consistency when it comes to DLC promises and announcements hasn't exactly been stellar, here. Moreover, name me a piece of ME3 DLC that wasn't leaked and/or datamined and predicted months ahead of time, with the usual suspects leaping at the opportunity to say "no, that's stupid, it won't happen". The big ones here being Leviathan, which was leaked when the extended cut was datamined; Omega, which was leaked before the game was even released; and Earth, which was leaked right after Retaliation.

I'm all for skepticism and withholding judgment, but there's a trend here someone claiming to be reasonable can't exactly deny. With that said, if there's further ending DLC that's paid content, after the controversy of the retail release and extended cut I'ma be seriously cheesed.

Ignorance is bliss....

Otherwise do you remember when Casey day before the launch said how he needs people to talk about such a marvelous ending and day after he was ****ing about complaining fanbase ??? such a memorable moment :)

I still don't understand the whole "stop crying you don't deserve anything it's not your game" approach. Can someone elaborate? It contributes even less to the discussion than inherent criticism for the endings.

Oh really?

In game development any endless waiting or game crash with high probability is called Blocker. Original ending had situation with endless waiting - if player didn't want to choose Control, Synthesis or Destroy, but still wanted to finish the game.

Refusal was a bug fix, nothing more.

I think the DLC will give us a proper send-off for our squadmates like Samara, Miranda, etc.

We know where the Crucible came from. Maybe it will give closure to people whose fate we didn't see. It won't alter the endings, especially not a year after the game has been out.

So.. I dont want to choose Control, Synthesis, Destroy or Refuse... the "Blocker" is still in space.  So we might get a new DLC Bug fix that adds more endings?! :D

Because thats what you just said.

There is NOTHING stopping someone from just standing in the room and walking in circles.

Entirely new dialogue and cutscenes are a bug fix? How stupid are you?
There were three ways to finish the game. Now there are four. That's the way it is.

You know too little about game development... And care too much about pathetic surrender called Refusal.

It's actually kinda sad how any thread Seival walks in abruptly turns into a thread showcasing Seival's asininity.

1. While having more information on the Crucible is possible, I don't think Bioware would leave out information on purpose like this.  This would mean that they left out vital information, and the only way to get the full Mass Effect 3 experience is to buy DLC.  People are already upset on the ending.  Adding this could crush the company's reputation (For quite a few, this has already happened).

2. Chris Priestly had said numerous times that the theory is false.  It's a good theory, but if it's true, then once again Bioware left out information on purpose.  Refer to point 1 on why that's a bad idea.

3. "High potential for tears" is too vague.  Thane's death.  Mordin's death.  The asari homeworld being destroyed.  These are examples of potentially tearful moments.  As for the Citadel, again there is potential for extra information, but we still have little information as to whether the Crucible or the Catalyst will be related to this DLC.

4. Once again, I refer you to point 1.

5. Trying to come up with a sequel could be difficult, I'm not denying that.  Personally, a prequel would be easier, but most don't want that, and understandably so.  So perhaps this DLC could be a bridge for a sequel like you said.

What I want to get at is this:  If you are hoping for this DLC to either modify or flat out change the ending, don't get your hopes up.  There is a possibility, but at this point, the ending is what it is.  At most, as you said, this DLC could help bridge the gap between this trilogy and the next Mass Effect game.

And you know nothing of literary consistency. Or decent military strategy.

And you are too scare of the Reapers to fight back when they are trying to control you.
