So I recently picked up the Venom Shotgun and have been using it on my infiltrator, completely obliterates everything.

I've just been wondering what kind of side-arms people would recommend to go along with this weapon, not for class versatility because the venom can handle any situation but instead for a change of pace if I feel like changing guns after monotonous charge and shoot at the ground gameplay.

i would recommend either an smg you like or i actually use the executioner with it and it balances out

Blood Pack Punisher, N7 hurricane, Tempest or Locust all of them with ultra light materials or a pistol like the phalanx, predator o Executioner, but if you don´t like too much about the cooldown, you can use the carnifex, the paladin,the scorpion, a SMG without ultra light materials or an assault rifle like the mattok, avenger, vindicator or geth pulse rifle.

Yes, particularly if you do not have the Collector's Edition which you apparently have, but most players probably do not.
