Duncan says not to upset people, we don't need to give them anymore ammunition?  Okay, where are the guns?  How does he know bullets exist?  Please show me where I can buy guns and ammunition for dark spawn

the French language la munition which embraced all material used for

Take 2 minutes to research things before you make stupid claims.

m8 re read what you posted it says

"Ammunition, often referred to as ammo, is a generic term derived from

WAR -  War is an interaction in which two or three or more opposing forces have a “struggle of wills

Oh great, another troll. Like we didn't have enough already. If OP doesn't wish to be called a troll he should make his critisizm more constructive and, well, sane.

I mean, ammunition? Really? Trolls these days don't have the decency to come up with complaints that'd sound even remotely valid.

I wonder if the mods and devs could start locking these topics up. Just keep the ones that aren't meant to start flame wars.

Yeah, this game is taking place 2,000 years ago? I must've missed that history class. I never knew there were actual mages.

It's not history class, it's called religion class.  Believe it or not but in real life there are still people in this world that claim they are Shamans, Druids, and other people that claim black magic exists....

And I still claim this game does not take place 2.000 years ago. It's a fictional world.

That speaks present day english, at that.

All the languages in game aere translated through your speakers

Yes, the results of his work may be annoying and worthless, but he is making such great progress. With some more patiance and traning he may be able to support himself someday. Getting philosophical now?  Isn't everything in life pointless?  No, you probably would be too frightened to take a nihilistic position in life.  You want to believe, desperately, that existence is an inter-woven charade of intellectual meaning that is beyond subjectivity.  You may write like a nihilist now in this forum, saying what I wrote is worthless, but when it comes to reality you're very much the egotistical parasite that yearns for self-confidence.  You, my dear friend, have simply defined yourself.

Ok just a minute, in his defense, we are told about this fantastic game that took five yrs to make.

All this wonderful DLC some of it free. Glowing reviews from Major Game sites. Baldurs Gate successor. Yada yada. Hmnn. Did anyone test this horrible crappy "Beta" Social network site where we are suppossed to redeem our Bonus codes and free DLC? Not being able to register the game all day? My mouse scroll doesn't work, and supposedly win 7 was tested. My install returned a message that it may not have installed correctly. Grahics are not current with todays standards. If you don't think so the you are entitled to your opinion but there are longer posts than mine stating exactly that. For a game that promised so much, I am just feeling a bit let down. I hope the game gets better.

Except of course for the Dlc debacle which I am still pissed about.. Everone knows as well as I do that these reviewers never had to mess with it .So give the guy a break this game has issues

I'm 27 and my complaints are fair.  Most of you don't know how to be critcal.  It's healthy to be critical.  If a game designer see's this, they have a chance to reflect and make a change.

But as long as you claim this game is 100% perfect nothing will change.

Yup its good to be critical but personaly from what you say your a snob

Nietzsche was not even a nilhilist.  His mention of the Ubermensch (superior morality) itself negates nihilism.  Reread Thus Spake Zarathustra and you'll realize he was a moralist.

Camus was a nihilist, not Nietzsche.  You need to return to college.

I usually don't even bother with posts like this, but the OP is so obviously flawed as a human being that I had to comment. Don't like it? Graduate high school, get into college, become a game designer, design the game you like. I mean, I suppose all that is theoretically possible for you, but I would clearly focus on the high school thing really hard first.....

look you are intitled to the game but at least try come off in a better manner then "dragon age SUCKSS!!!!" because, with all do respect. thats just going to make sound like an ass.

I'll give you one thing the human noble origin does seem short but I honestly like that, it's nice to be able to jump into the main story relativily quickly (and with dog no doubt), although I do love how much time bioware took making the mage origin (it is also my favorite so far).

Well, I respect your response.  It's the first civilized response here.  As for the title, I did that mainly to try and catch a game designer's attention.  If they read these threads or not, I don't know.  But my hope is they read it and consider something I wrote.

"You don't get it, "Ammunition" is a modern word. It didn't exist in any language 2,000 years ago. Television did not exist 3,000 years ago. Some words are newly created as inventions are created. Ammunition does NOT around this time."

Try flipping through a dictionary when you disagree with the meaning of a word, maybe just this once.  Plus, Duncan is using the word metaphorically, not literally.  Believe it or not, he's not talking about bullets.  Another interesting tidbit for you, again from wikipedia "The history of bullets far predates the history of firearms. Originally, bullets were metallic or stone balls used in a sling as a weapon and for hunting."  So bullets predate guns by a long shot.  You may be right that the word "ammunition" really came into common parlance during WWI, but see my next point...

You realise "this time" you're referring to is a fictional time and place right?  And the english language is a mish-mash of latin, germanic, greek, french and other languages; so by your (flawed) logic, the characters in game shouldn't even be speaking english but whatever language they would have developed based on "their time (and place)".

There isn't much the devs could do about the game now, even if they wanted to.  And they shouldn't, no game has ever satisfied everyone, and there are certainly more satisfied gamers enjoying this game than there are trolls hounding the devs to try and get someone to pay attention to them.  You, OP, are entitled to your opinion, but I have a feeling you're not only blowing things out of proportion, but you're also impossible to please, so your input in this forum is not much good to anyone.  At least you were polite enough to put "spoiler" in your thread title, good job!

I vote that this thread be closed or deleted.

Le shrug.

OP made some good points but went over the top with tone and hyperbole, much reducing the chance for meaningful discussion.

Obviously if "action" and "speed" are your most wanted features, this game will disappoint, and indeed by those criteria The Witcher is superior. Use of the term "ammunition" might be anachronistic - I wouldn't know without looking up its etymology, something which I don't think the OP did. Is the swamp in the game world unlike the books, or is it that the books are unlike the game world? The issue of voiceovers is more complex than just "add a disc". A lot of this could be discussed reasonably, but not with someone who sounds like they're throwing their toys out of the pram, carrycot, or portable baby-bucket/carseat.
