we were discussing in the lobby, that it's really the only way to have a pure co-op game. constant call outs, positionings, timings etc... it's great


Yep, I think that the great team work is the part of the speed run that's most fun. To be honest, even with friends I've rarely coordinated anything at all except doing sometimes biotic/tech runs. I think that the only time I've ever coordinated with someone was when we did an AA/AJ Gold duo once. I admit, I still remember it as one of the most fun/exciting games I've played. Props to you, guys.

IMPORTANT: There is just one thing I forgot to explain and that's the targets objective. If you get it do not nuke but EVERYONE has to leave their spots to focus fire on the target. This way the target dies fast and your missile count stays the same.

I heard those 2 guys Bechter and Geekfest are pretty bad at this game, so this is clearly a slow time.

Nice guide though for real, Bechter and Geekfest are some of the best speedrunners I have met and are great to play with. Glad to see you took the plunge into speedruns, they can be a lot of fun especially when you are fairly new to them.

Here is the build i would recommend for the Drell Inf

I used a fully specced TC for sniper damage just because I don't like to use a respec if I want to snipe. I had everything maxed and skipped homing grenades (they don't bring much to a speed run) in this video. I would recommend the build in the link above.

We do this because unlike gold on platinum it is very rare to get the target to switch to a smaller enemy unit. If you rocketed all the targets you will eventually not have enough for later waves and will just have to re-kill all the collateral damage. If you are all focusing on a single target with high dps weapons and characters it will melt like butter. :wizard:

invader is soooo new aswell. i was so happy that i got to be there to break him in. i mean, reeeeally break him in, so he couldn't walk afterward. thrilling

Drell Build

Pretty much the exact same build as Bechter's. His link shows weapon weight on the rank 6 passive but I'm sure it is supposed to be damage.

i skipped the grenade for this speedrun build, didn't seem worth it

a "true legit speedrun", is doing it in the fastest way possible. that means using rockets. what you just asked for is a normal game, but slower. so not a speedrun.

Neither does a no-rocket speed run. Also what you define as "cheap" is irrelevant. This was done with the sole purpose of trying to show players a how to speed run and the tactics involved. We are trying to boast about our abilities. I enjoy speedrunning for the teamwork work involved and the development of the strategies.
